Evaluation the quality indicators of pepper hybrid seeds during germination

AB  - The aim of the research was to evaluate the influence of the hybrid and the medium for germination testing on indicators of pep- per seed quality. The obtained results should provide an answer as to whether the application of different growing media for testing  seed germination can lead to discrepancies between test results in quality indicators for hybrid seeds. The seed quality of three pep- per hybrids: KG 2025 F1, KG 2129 F1 and KG 2032 F1 was tested on two growing media (filter paper and substrate). Statistical  analysis of germination energy, total germination, diseased seedlings and dead seeds showed highly significant differences (r<0.01)  under the influence of the hybrid factor. The growing media factor also had a highly significant effect on all examined quality indica- tors, except for total germination. A significantly lower number of abnormal and diseased seedlings was found on the filter paper  compared to the substrate. A highly negative significant correlation (r = -0.90951, p≤0.001) was recorded only between total germi- nation and diseased seedlings. The obtained results indicate that the application of different media for testing the germination of hy- brid pepper seeds can lead to inconsistencies in the obtained values for all evaluated quality indicators.
AB  - Cilj istraživanja je bio da se izvrši ocena uticaja hibrida i podloge za ispitivanje klijavosti na pokazatelje kvaliteta semena paprike. Dobijeni rezultati treba da daju odgovor da li primena različitih podloga za ispitivanje klijavosti može dovesti do neslaganja između rezultata ispitivanja u pokazateljima kvaliteta kod hibridnog semena paprike. Ispitivani su tri različita hibrida paprika: KG 2025 F1, KG 2129 F1 i KG 2032 F1 na dve različite podloge (filter papiru i supstratu). Statistička analiza energije klijanja, ukupne klijavosti, bolesnih klijanaca i mrtvog semena pokazala je visoko značajne razlike (р<0,01) pod uticajem faktora hibrid, dok je uticaj hibrida na broj nenormalnih klijanaca izostao. Faktor supstrat značajno je uticao na nivou (р<0,01) na sve ispitivane pokazatelje kvaliteta, osim na ukupnu klijavost. Veoma značajna interakcija (р<0,01) ispitivanih faktora u pogledu svih ispitivanih pokazatelja kvaliteta semena paprike dobijena je kod međusobnog uticaja faktora hibrid × supstrat. Kod hibrida KG 2025 F1 konstatovana je prosečno vrlo značajno veća energija klijanja i ukupna klijavost, u odnosu na ostala dva hibrida. Ispitivani hibridi su značajno brže klijali sedmog dana u proseku za 26% na podlozi filter papir, u odnosu na utvrđenu energiju klijanja na podlozi supstrat. Na podlozi filter papir konstatovan je značajno manji broj nenormalnih i bolesnih klijanaca u odnosu na podlogu supstrat. Visoko negativna značajna korelacija (r = -0,90951, p≤0.001) zabeležena je samo između ukupne klijavosti i bolesnih klijanaca. Ostvareni rezultati ukazuju da primena različitih podloga za ispitivanje klijavosti hibridnog semena paprike može dovesti do nepodudarnosti dobijenih vrednosti kod svih ocenjivanih pokazatelja kvaliteta.

Suzbijanje korova u usevima pasulja i boranije

AB  - Phaseolus vulgaris (pasulj; boranija) kao namirnica visoke nutritivne vrednosti
zauzima značajno mesto u ljudskoj ishrani. Pored svih osnovnih uslova gajenja, jedan
od ključnih zahteva za postizanje visokih prinosa je uspešna borba protiv korova.
Kao najdominantije vrste u našim agroekološkim uslovima javljaju se korovi: Amaranthus
retrofl exus, Chenopodium album, Datura stramonium, Abutilon theophrasti,
Xanthium strumarium, Cirsium arvense, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Sorghum halapense
i dr. Primena koncepta integralnog suzbijanja korova podrazumeva primenu svih
raspoloživih mera (plodored, pravilna i pravovremena obrada zemljišta, primena herbicida
i dr.). Iako u svetu postoji širi dijapazon registrovanih herbicida za suzbijanje
korova u usevu pasulja i boranije, u Srbiji su registrovani preparati na bazi aktivnih
materija: kletodim, kvizalofop–P–tefuril, imazamoks i bentazon.

an important place in the human diet. In addition to all the basic growing conditions,
one of the key requirements for achieving high yields is successful weed
control. Weeds such as Amaranthus retrofl exus, Chenopodium album, Datura stramonium,
Abutilon theophrasti, Xanthium strumarium, Cirsium arvense, Ambrosia
artemisiifolia, Sorghum halepense and others appear as the most dominant species
in our agroecological conditions. The application of the concept of integrated weed
control implies the application of all available measures (crop rotation, proper and
timely tillage, application of herbicides, etc.). Although there is a wider range of
registered herbicides for weed control in beans and green beans in the world, preparations
based on active substances: clethodim, quizalofop-P-tefuril, imazamox and
bentazone have been registered in Serbia.

AB  - From 2009 year in Serbian agricultural legislative and practice introduced new type of fertilizers, so called other fertilizers and special products. This new type of fertilizers comprise, for example, phytohormones, amino acids and plant extracts. But, because the comprehensive surveys of influence of this new type of fertilizers on horticultural plants is still lacking in Serbia, we established trials. In those trials we investigated influence of 10 different fertilizers of this type on harvest and components of harvest in apple and tomato. The results of those trials discussed in context of physiological function of active ingredients of those fertilizers.
AB  - Od skora je ozvaničena u našoj poljoprivrednoj praksi upotreba tzv. drugih đubriva i specijalnih proizvoda, u koje spadaju i biljni hormoni, aminokiseline i biljni ekstrakti. Pošto još uvek u našoj praksi nema sistematskih i uporednih istraživanja dejstva ovih agrohemikalija na hortikulturne useve, postavljen je ogled u kome je ispitivano dejstvo 10 različitih đubriva ovog tipa na prinos i komponente prinosa jabuke i paradajza. Dobijeni rezultati komentarisani su obzirom na fiziološku funkciju jedinjenja, koja čine ovaj tip đubriva.
