AB - The productivity traits of rye, khorasan wheat and quinoa on degraded soil were investigated in a three-year research (2010-2012). The research was carried out in two localities: Stanari (ST) (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and at "TENT 2" in Obrenovac (OB) (Serbia). A significant interdependence between grain yield and aboveground biomass yield was observed in the investigated genotypes and localities. The resulting average grain yields in these localities ranged between 1,166-1,702 kg ha-1 (rye), 1,826-1,943 kg ha-1 (khorasan wheat) and 520-966 kg ha-1 (quinoa). Fluctuations in grain yields were due to different soil conditions different nutrient contents and the distribution of precipitation at initial stages of crop development. This research confirmed that rye is a crop with minimum soil requirements and it can be successfully grown in poor soil. The second best biomass yield was obtained by khorasan wheat, while the lowest biomass yield was obtained by quinoa.

AB - Genetic responses and phenotypic changes in three divergent domestic wheatcultivars during the process of varietal reproduction were examined in this paper: PKBTalas, BG Merkur and PKB Lepoklasa. Tests were conducted in two production years2008/2009. and 2009/2010., in field trials in the experimental fields of the Institute PKBAgroekonomik. Three different treatments (variants) were tested for each of thesevarieties in terms of selection and plant density, corresponding to the requirements for theproduction of three different categories of seeds: the elite, the original and first certifiedreproduction. Plants in each of the different production conditions were monitored bymeasuring their phenotypic characteristics. Upon completion of the harvest quality oftheir seeds, technological properties and evaluated their varietal identity were tested usinglaboratory methods and techniques. The obtained data were biometricly processed anddisplayed through the appropriate tables, graphs, and images. 5400 data (100 plants x 3replications x 3 testing variants x 3 cultivars x 2 years) were included in analysis for eachmorphological characteristics of plants (number of secondary tillers, number of spikeletsper spike, number of grains per spike, weight per 1000 seeds and weight of grain in theear). Mean (M) and variability (variance and coefficients of variation) were calculated forall characteristics of wheat, and the significance of their differences using LSD test. Talascutivar had the highest values based on the average values of tested cultivars in bothyearsof the following characteristics: number of secondary tillers (3,26) and number ofspikelet per spike (21,66), while variety PKB Lepoklasa had the highest average valuesfor other characteristics: number of grains per spike (69,98), weight per 1000 seeds(45,22 g) and weight of grain per spike (3,17 g). Similarities and differences between thephenotypic characteristics of cultivars, the variants and years are calculated using thehierarchical cluster analysis, which showed that the cultivars PKB Talas and BG Merkurhave relatively similar characteristics, related to PKB Lepoklasa cultivar that split it`s characteristics...

AB - In the period from 2002 to 2005, grain yield of fifteen wheat varieties grown in Serbia was studied in seven locations. At a triennial cross section, the proportion of genotypic variance was 51.56 %, and genotypic variance x environment 26.34 %. The genotype "cip" had the highest grain yield in ZA, SO, SM, and CA environments, while the genotype "dra" had the highest grain yield in PA and KI environments. Other corner genotypes, such as "zit", "tek", "viz" and "min" did not have high grain yields in any tested environment. The average grain yield distribution in the examined environments was as follows: SO>SM>CA >ZA >PA > KG > KI.
