Changes in Mn availability and soil acidity in <em>Albic Retisol</em> limed with dolomite screenings of various sizes and doses: a long-term microfield experiment in the north-western Russia

AB  - Liming of acidic soils is associated with various processes in the soil, including the availability of nutrients for plants. The vector and extent of these changes depend, inter alia, on the type of lime material and the doses used. Particularly, excessive liming can trigger a deficiency of manganese for crops. A long-term microfield experiment (13 test years) was carried out on Albic Retisols reclaimed with the dolomite particles of various sizes as a by-product of stone processing quarries. Ten treatments including various sized dolomite particles and their combinations, as well as traditional limestone flour on the background of NPK fertilizer were studied for the changes in soil acidity indicators (exchangeable acidity, pH; hydrolytic acidity, Hy; total acidity, Htot) and manganese availability. The amount of acidic components passing into the extract of 1N KCl was insufficient to reveal a dependency between the exchangeable acidity and the content of mobile manganese in the soil of most treatments limed with dolomite particles of various sizes. However, the relationship between the content of mobile Mn in soils and the value of hydrolytic acidity was proved by paired linear regressions. Regardless of the dose and size of dolomite particles added, the soil was highly and moderately supplied with plant available manganese during the entire study period.

AB  - The aim of the research was to evaluate the influence of the hybrid and the medium for germination testing on indicators of pep- per seed quality. The obtained results should provide an answer as to whether the application of different growing media for testing  seed germination can lead to discrepancies between test results in quality indicators for hybrid seeds. The seed quality of three pep- per hybrids: KG 2025 F1, KG 2129 F1 and KG 2032 F1 was tested on two growing media (filter paper and substrate). Statistical  analysis of germination energy, total germination, diseased seedlings and dead seeds showed highly significant differences (r<0.01)  under the influence of the hybrid factor. The growing media factor also had a highly significant effect on all examined quality indica- tors, except for total germination. A significantly lower number of abnormal and diseased seedlings was found on the filter paper  compared to the substrate. A highly negative significant correlation (r = -0.90951, p≤0.001) was recorded only between total germi- nation and diseased seedlings. The obtained results indicate that the application of different media for testing the germination of hy- brid pepper seeds can lead to inconsistencies in the obtained values for all evaluated quality indicators.
AB  - Cilj istraživanja je bio da se izvrši ocena uticaja hibrida i podloge za ispitivanje klijavosti na pokazatelje kvaliteta semena paprike. Dobijeni rezultati treba da daju odgovor da li primena različitih podloga za ispitivanje klijavosti može dovesti do neslaganja između rezultata ispitivanja u pokazateljima kvaliteta kod hibridnog semena paprike. Ispitivani su tri različita hibrida paprika: KG 2025 F1, KG 2129 F1 i KG 2032 F1 na dve različite podloge (filter papiru i supstratu). Statistička analiza energije klijanja, ukupne klijavosti, bolesnih klijanaca i mrtvog semena pokazala je visoko značajne razlike (р<0,01) pod uticajem faktora hibrid, dok je uticaj hibrida na broj nenormalnih klijanaca izostao. Faktor supstrat značajno je uticao na nivou (р<0,01) na sve ispitivane pokazatelje kvaliteta, osim na ukupnu klijavost. Veoma značajna interakcija (р<0,01) ispitivanih faktora u pogledu svih ispitivanih pokazatelja kvaliteta semena paprike dobijena je kod međusobnog uticaja faktora hibrid × supstrat. Kod hibrida KG 2025 F1 konstatovana je prosečno vrlo značajno veća energija klijanja i ukupna klijavost, u odnosu na ostala dva hibrida. Ispitivani hibridi su značajno brže klijali sedmog dana u proseku za 26% na podlozi filter papir, u odnosu na utvrđenu energiju klijanja na podlozi supstrat. Na podlozi filter papir konstatovan je značajno manji broj nenormalnih i bolesnih klijanaca u odnosu na podlogu supstrat. Visoko negativna značajna korelacija (r = -0,90951, p≤0.001) zabeležena je samo između ukupne klijavosti i bolesnih klijanaca. Ostvareni rezultati ukazuju da primena različitih podloga za ispitivanje klijavosti hibridnog semena paprike može dovesti do nepodudarnosti dobijenih vrednosti kod svih ocenjivanih pokazatelja kvaliteta.

Изолација врста Streptomyces из пољопривредног и непољопривредног земљишта

AB  - На локалитету Смедеревска Паланка из узорака пољопривредног и непољопривредног земљишта изолаване су врсте рода Streptomyces. Укупно је изоловано 30 потенцијално различитих изолата. Највећи број изолата је изолован је из непољопривредног земљишта (21), док је далеко мањи број изолован из пољопривредног земљишта (отворено поље - 7 и заштићени простор - 2). Са петри шоља и из земљишта је извршена екстракција укупне ДНК. Након добијања чистих култура, планирано је изучавање биолошке активности изолата према неким фитопатогенима и њихов утицај на раст и развој биљака.  Појединачни изолати ће бити секвенцирани.
AB  - Streptomyces species were isolated from samples of agricultural and non-agricultural soil at the Smederevska Palanka site. A total of 30 potentially different isolates were isolated. The largest number of isolates was isolated from non-agricultural land (21), while a much smaller number was isolated from agricultural land (open field - 7 and protected area - 2). Total DNA was extracted from soil and Petri dishes. After obtaining pure cultures, it is planned to study the biological activity of the isolates against some phytopathogens and their influence on the growth and development of plants. Individual isolates will be sequenced.

AB  - Sustainable farming is one of the priority goals of the “4 per 1000” concept with regard to the preservation of soil fertility and carbon sequestration. This paper presents a study on the use of a mixture of cover crops of self-grown oats (Avena sativa L.) and sown white mustard (Sinapis alba L.) in organic farming under the agroecological conditions of Serbia. The main objective was to identify sensitive carbon pools (microbial carbon and nitrogen, basal respiration and a number of specific groups of soil microorganisms) in organic farming with and without cover crops. The inclusion of a mixture of white mustard and self-grown oats as a cover crop led to a significantly increased biogenity of the soil compared to a control after only a few years of investigation. The number of microorganisms, soil respiration and microbial biomass carbon were significantly higher in the cover crop treatment compared to the control soil on an organic farm in Serbia. This is the first study in Serbia to investigate the effect of self-grown oats as a cover crop. Further research will incorporate a wider range of variables and factors in order to develop a sustainable and effective site-specific system for organic crop production in Serbia.

AB  - The storage proteins influence technological quality value of grain wheat, dough quality traits, and loaf quality. The aim of this study is to estimate variability in the dry gluten content, loaf volume, and their relationships with encoding alleles of gliadin and glutenins. Wheat genotypes grown in two vegetation seasons (2015/16 and 2016/17) were studied. The technological quality traits analyzed in this study varied in wheat genotypes within and between vegetation seasons. In both vegetation seasons the highest dry gluten content was established in G-3621-1 (30.23% and 31.15%) and the highest value of loaf volume in G-3621-1 (530 ml and 540 ml). In both vegetation seasons the least dry gluten content was found in G-3606-6 (25.42% and 25.98%) and the least loaf volume in G-3606-6 (380 ml and 390 ml). The composition of gliadin and glutenin alleles in the wheat genotypes analyzed was different. The genotypes carrying Gli-B1b, Gli-D1b, Gli-D2b, and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d had the highest gluten content, while the genotype that carried Gli-B1l and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d had high bread volume. The results have shown relationships between gliadin and glutenin alleles and quality traits of grain, flour, and bread.
AB  - Резервни протеини  ендосперма семена утичу на вредност особина технолошког квалитета семена пшенице, особине квалитета теста и квалитет хлеба. Циљ овог рада је био оцена варијабилности садржаја сувог глутена и запремине хлеба, као и њихове повезаности са кодирајућим алелима глијадина и глутенина. У изучавања је укључено 10 генетички дивергентних генотипова пшенице (G-3626-1, G-3618-2, G-3606-4, G3636-3, G-3627-1, G-3621-1, G-3606-5, G -3607-5, G-3606-6, G-3632-2). Код ових генотипова је анализиран, садржај сувог глутена и запремине хлеба у две вегетационе сезоне (2015/16 и 2016/17). У истраживањима је установљено варирање вредности особина технолошког квалитета код анализираних генотипова пшенице у обе вегетационе сезоне, као и варирање вредности особина између вегетационих сезона код истог генотипа. У обе вегетационе сезоне утврђен је највећи садржај сувог глутена код генотипа G-3621-1 (30,23% и 31,15%) и највећа вредност запремине векне код генотипа G-3621-1 (530 ml и 540 ml). AB  - Genotype by environment interaction (GEI) is a complex problem that complicates the barley selection and breeding process. The knowledge of the relationship between cereal phenology and climatic data is important for understanding GEI and the physiological pathways responsible for the interaction effect. The grain yield of twenty winter barley genotypes in six environments was observed. Factors influencing the variability were analyzed using a linear mixed model. The partial least squares regression (PLSR) model was applied to determine the most relevant environmental variables in certain stages of development that explained GEI effects. Biplot with environmental variables explained 43.7% of the GEI. The barley was generally the most sensitive to the environmental conditions (relative humidity, maximum temperature and its variation, sun hours, and precipitation) during the anthesis and filling stage (May) which caused GEI. Temperature variables did not show significance only in the vegetative phase. Different genotypes responded differently to environmental factors. Genotypes NS-525, NS-589, and J-103 were highlighted as widely adaptable, and Zajeˇcar was a suitable and reliable location for yield testing. The GEI information presented in this paper can be useful in traditional plant breeding and future breeding programs through molecular research of crop developmental genes and examination of physiological processes in two-row barley.

The constraints of natural resources and an increase of human population, require increasing arable land for plant cultivation and improving crop yield for security of food. Existing limitations present a challenge to breeders to use classical and new biotechnological methods to create new varieties with higher yield, better quality and greater resistance to stress conditions. In addition, during cultivation, it is necessary to apply adequate crop nutrition and protection of crops from diseases and pests with mineral fertilizers in order to increase crop resistance and reduce the negative impact of stress factors, thus increasing yields.
AB  - Pšenica je osnovna biljna vrsta za proizvodnju hrane i krajnjih prehrambenih proizvoda za ishranu većine svetske populacije. Ograničenja prirodnih resursa i povećanje ljudske populacije, zahtevaju povećanje obradivog zemljišta za uzgoj biljaka i poboljšanje prinosa i kvaliteta za sigurnost hrane. Postojeća ograničenja predstavljaju izazov oplemenjivačima za korišćenje klasičnih i novih biotehnoloških metoda za stvaranje novih sorti sa većim prinosom, boljim kvalitetom i većom otpornosti na uslove stresa. Osim toga, u toku gajenja, neophodno je primeniti adekvatnu ishranu useva i zaštitu useva od bolesti i štetočina mineralnim djubrivima u cilju povećanja otpornosti useva i smanjenje negativnog uticaja faktora stresa, a na taj način i povećanje prinosa.

AB  - Tomato, one of the most produced vegetables in the world, is experiencing continuous global increase in both production and consumption. Fruit quality traits are important for fresh market tomatoes as well as for the processing industry. Despite the growing demand for both fresh and processed tomatoes, consumers are not satisfied with the quality of available fruits. The main objectives of the present work were to determine the physicochemical characteristics [pH, total soluble solids (TSS), total titratable acids (TTA), TSS/TTA ratio, DMC, lycopene, β-carotene, vitamin C, and total phenolic content], as well as the antioxidant activity of 13 different tomato lines, and to identify the most promising ones in terms of fruit taste and quality. Antioxidant activity was determined using the ABTS and DPPH methods with Trolox used as the standard compound. PCA analysis was conducted to identify group patterns. The results of PCA analysis indicated a specific genotypic response in all investigated physicochemical traits. Genotypes 2, 10, and 13 were identified as the best for fresh consumption, as they exhibited the highest levels of compounds crucial for good taste, nutrition, and human health benefits. The most promising genotype related to fruit quality attributes was genotype 10 with the best TSS and TAA content and TSS/TAA ratio, which is important for overall taste perception. On the other hand, genotype 9 showed promise for industrial purposes due to its ideal pH value in the juice and good soluble solid content. High antioxidant activity was characteristic of genotypes 1 and 2, and their consumption as fresh tomatoes can be beneficial to human health. They also should be considered for further evaluation as potentially interesting genotypes for abiotic stress research and selection programs which can lead to the development of both superior fruit quality and stress tolerant genotypes.

AB  - Two-year research was carried out in 2014 and 2015 on the territory of the municipality of Leskovac, on alluvium land type. In the experiment, 6 maize hybrids of different vegetation lengths 400-600 were sown (ZP 434, NS 4023, ZP 555, NS 5051, ZP 666, NS 6030). The hybrid NS 6030 (10.248 t ha-1) had the highest average yield in 2014, while the hybrid FAO group 400 NS 4023 (9.467 t ha-1) had the lowest. The highest average yield in the year 2015, unfavorable for corn production, was achieved by the hybrid FAO group 400 ZP 434 (6.938 t ha-1) and the smallest yield by hybrid FAO group 600 NS 6030 (4.980 t ha-1). In 2015, being that the average temperatures were warmer than in 2014, and it had fewer amounts and worse distribution of precipitation, late sowing had a very bad effect on all hybrids, especially on FAO 600 hybrids.

AB  - The aim of the research was to determine the impact of the EM Aktiv preparation in the maize crop (ZP 427 and ZP 548) at 160, 120, 102 kg ha-1 N in 2017 at the location of the municipality of Vladimirovci. During the growing season, there was a pronounced water deficit. The preparation was applied in three variants: EM1 - control, EM2 - foliar 2 x 6 l ha-1 in the phenological stages of 5-7 leaves and after 15 days; EM3 - the preparation was introduced into the soil 7 days before sowing 30 l ha-1 + EM2. The mass of 1000 grains, the height of the yield and the nitrogen content in the grain were determined. Application of 160 kg ha-1 nitrogen had the greatest effect on the weight of 1000 grains, and 120 kg ha-1 The production of maize on a global level takes place in a way that affects the degradation of resources and elements of the environment, the increasing dependence on mineral fertilizers and pesticides, which leads to the production of greenhouse gases and a negative impact on climate change. Today, N on grain yield in all treatments. The treatments had a positive effect on both traits. Higher values of the tested properties were found in the EM3 treatment. The applied factors did not have a statistically significant effect on the nitrogen content of maize grains.

AB  - This study aimed to assess the ecological status/potential of the Čemernica and Dičina rivers (Zapadna Morava basin) based on epilithic diatoms and supporting physico-chemical parameters, as well as to explore indicative properties of the detected macroalgae. The sampling and analysis of benthic algae and measurement of physico-chemical parameters were carried out in August 2023. The ecological status/potential of the Čemernica River was poor to bad at all investigated sites (ČR1, ČR2, ČR3) based on diatom indices and physico-chemical parameters. Low diatom indices values and the presence of the macroalgae Stigeoclonium tenue indicated organic pollution. In the Dičina River, good ecological status was assessed at all sites (DR1-DR4) based on the diatom indices, while poor ecological status has been assessed at almost all sites (DR1, DR2, DR3) based on the physico-chemical parameters, except at DR4, where the ecological status was good. The high coverage of Cladophora glomerata in both rivers indicated nutrient loading, which aligned with the results of the physico-chemical parameters.

AB  - Plants with active compounds, i.e. those that have medicinal properties have been used since ancient times both for medicinal purposes and for preserving food. The aim of the work is to determine the most optimal extraction method for obtaining the highest yield of vitamin C and organic acids from celery leaves, which could have potential application in the food industry. Three extraction methods were combined, the density of the obtained extracts, the content of vitamin C and the content of organic acids were measured. The correlation of the content of bioactive components and the density of the obtained extracts was monitored.

AB  - Due to the pronounced food needs of the growing population, inputs in agricultural production in the form of fertilizers, pesticides and mechanization of agriculture have increased, which has led to higher yields, but also numerous problems in the environment. Although agriculture is highly dependent on climate conditions, it also has a significant role in changing them. All of this has influenced the introduction of measures to replace chemical inputs and protect the health of people and ecosystems. One of the measures is the introduction of different microbiological products into the production technology. In order to test the effect of effective microorganisms in the preparation (EM Aktiv (trade name) on the characteristic bioactive substances of certain plant species, research was conducted on different genotypes: lettuce on the total antioxidant potential and vitamin C, wheat on the grain protein content and corn on the nitrogen content. Research has been carried out for many years in different agro-climatic conditions. Using preparations with effective microorganisms, it is possible to increase the content of biologically active substances in agricultural and vegetable crops and alleviate the stress of plants in unfavorable agro-meteorological conditions.

Research has been carried out for many years in different agro-climatic conditions. AB  - The influence of the developmental stage of zygotic embryos and the composition and pH of the Gamborg
induction medium B5 on the initiation and development of somatic embryos was investigated. The optimal medium
was B5 medium with a pH value of 5.0 and without plant growth regulator, at which the highest frequency of somatic
embryogenesis (56.67%) and the highest average number of somatic embryos per explant (3.35) were achieved. Somatic
embryos appeared directly on the hypocotyls of the explants, without the callus stage. On zygotic embryos in the early
cotyledonary phase, three times higher regeneration was achieved compared to larger embryos in the cotyledonary
phase. The induction of somatic embryogenesis did not occur during the growth of explants on the medium containinig
2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, nor on zygotic embryos in the late cotyledonary phase. Random amplified polymorphic
DNA analysis showed the genetic stability of somatic embryo-derived plants, which makes this newly established protocol
suitable for the regeneration and propagation of desirable broccoli genotypes.

AB  - Background: In order to reduce the use of synthetic and chemical agents in agriculture, more and more research is turning to
ecological, more environmentally friendly methods. Plant aqueous extracts are products that can be a significant source of various
elements, depending on the type and quality of soil on which the plant species from which the solution is prepared is grown.
Methods: The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of aqueous extracts of different plant species on the yield and quality
parameters of soybean seeds (Glycine max L.). Aqueous extracts of: nettle, nettle+comfrey, banana, banana peel, onion, willow and
soybeans were used foliarly. The 1st foliar treatment plants was done when first flowers opened and the 2nd treatment was done when
first pod reached final length.
Result: The effect of aqueous extracts depends on the agroecological conditions and the analyzed traits. In 2020 the greatest effect
was achieved on the free proline, SOD, Px and CAT. In 2021 the application of certain aqueous extracts had a significant effect on
the yield, gerimination energy, germination percentage and vigour seed.

AB  - Paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) spada u grupu najznačajnijih povrtarskih
kultura. Ima visoku hranljivu i biološku vrednost. Plod paprike može da se
koristi u svežem ili prerađenom obliku i predstavlja bogat izvor vitamina, mineralnih materija i drugih organskih jedinjenja potrebnih u savremenoj
ishrani. Proizvodnja kvalitetnog rasada je preduslov za visok prinos i
nutritivni sastav ploda paprike. U ovom radu je ispitivan uticaj
mikrobioloških preparata EM Naturally active i EM-5 Vital plant purple (EM
i EM-5) na kvalitet i morfološke karakteristike rasada paprike sorte Župska
rana, stvorene u Institutu za povrtarstvo Smederevska Palanka. Utvrđene su
statistički značajne razlike u vrednostima ispitivanih parametara u sva tri
tretmana sa primenjenim mikrobiološkim preparatima u odnosu na kontrolnu
varijantu. Najveće vrednosti su zabeležene u T3 tretmanu koji je obuhvatao
tri apliciranja preparatima (zalivanjem i folijarno), u intervalu na svakih 7 dana, a vrlo značajne razlike su izražene kod izmerenih parametara težina biljke (13,20 g) i lisne površine (130,15 cm2).
AB  - Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) belongs to the group of the most
important vegetable crops. It has a high nutritional and biological value.
Pepper fruit can be used in fresh or processed form and is a rich source of vitamins, minerals and other organic compounds needed in modern
nutrition. The production of quality seedlings is a prerequisite for a high
yield and nutritional composition of the pepper fruit. In this paper, the influence of microbiological preparations (EM and EM-5) on the quality
and morphological characteristics of pepper seedlings of the variety Župska rana, created at the Institute for Vegetables Crops Smederevska
Palanka, was investigated. Statistically significant differences were found
in the values of the examined parameters in all three treatments with the applied microbiological preparations compared to the control variant. The highest values were recorded in the T3 treatment, which included three applications of preparations (watering and foliar) at an interval of every 7 days, and there are very significant differences expressed in the measured
parameters of plant weight (13.20 g) and leaf area (130.15 cm2).

AB  - Bakteriozna pegavost lišća koju izaziva Xanthomonas euvesicatoria je
jedno od najznačajnih oboljenja paprike u Srbiji. U cilju zaštite paprike, korišćeni su biološki preparati Serenade ASO, Erwix, Bakterije, Ekstrasol i Bacillomix. Kao standard korišćen je preparat na bazi bakar-hidroksida (Everest). Ogled je postavljen u Institutu za povrtarstvo u Smederevskoj
Palanci tokom leta 2023. godine. Proučavanja su obavljena na sorti paprike Paraćinka u uslovima veštačke inokulacije u stakleniku. Najefikasniji je bio preparat na bazi bakar-hidroksida (96%), dok su biološki preparati ispoljili nižu efikasnost: Serenade ASO (71%), Bakterije (61%), Ekstrasol
(61%), Erwix (55%) i Bacillomix (54%). Ipak, svi proučavani tretmani su značajno smanjili intenzitet oboljenja u odnosu na kontrolu. Eksperiment
je izveden u stakleniku bez klimatizacije, pri visokim spoljnim
temperaturama, što je moglo nepovoljno uticati na efikasnost preparata
baziranih na biološkim agensima. Prilikom narednih ogleda neophodno je
obezbediti kontrolisane uslove. Treba isprobati i različito vreme primene i
integraciju sa drugim merama zaštite.
AB  - Bacterial spot caused by Xanthomonas euvesicatoria is one of the most important pepper diseases in Serbia. In order to control this disease, we
tested efficacy of commercially available biological products: Serenade
ASO, Erwix, Bakterije, Ekstrasol and Bacillomix. A preparation based on
copper hydroxide (Everest) was used as a standard treatment. The
experiment was set up at the Institute for Vegetable Crops in Smederevska
Palanka during the summer of 2023. Experiment was performed on pepper
variety Paraćinka under artificial inoculation in a greenhouse. The most efficient was the standard treatment based on copper hydroxide (96%), while tested biocontrol treatments showed statistically lower efficacy:
Serenade ASO (71%), Bacteria (61%), Ekstrasol (61%), Erwix (55%) and Bacillomix (54%). However, all tested treatments significantly reduced intensity of the disease compared to the control. The experiment was performed in a nonclimatized greenhouse, which could adversely affect the effectiveness of biocontrol treatments. Therefore, subsequent trials, should
be carried out in controlled conditions. Different application times and
integration with other protection measures should also be tested.

Palanka during the summer of 2023. Experiment was performed on pepper
variety Paraćinka under artificial inoculation in a greenhouse. The most efficient was the standard treatment based on copper hydroxide (96%), while tested biocontrol treatments showed statistically lower efficacy:
Serenade ASO (71%), Bacteria (61%), Ekstrasol (61%), Erwix (55%) and Bacillomix (54%). However, all tested treatments significantly reduced intensity of the disease compared to the control. The experiment was performed in a nonclimatized greenhouse, which could adversely affect the effectiveness of biocontrol treatments. Therefore, subsequent trials, should
be carried out in controlled conditions. Different application times and
integration with other protection measures should also be tested.",

AB  - U ovom istraživanju je sprovedena karakterizacija perspektivnih
genotipova ozime pšenice na osnovu deskriptora morfoloških osobina
definisanih od strane Međunarodnog udruženja za zaštitu novih sorti
biljaka (UPOV). Karakterizacija KG-linija pšenice je izvršena za 7
kvalitativnih osobina. Poljski ogledi su izvedeni u dvogodišnjem periodu
(2013/2014. i 2014/2015.) na tri lokacije: Institut za krmno bilje u Kruševcu, Agroinstitut u Somboru, Centar za strna žita i razvoj sela u Kragujevcu. Ekspresija analiziranih svojstava ispitana je vizuelnim
opažanjem i ocenjena odgovarajućim brojem prema UPOV deskriptoru za
pšenicu. Većinu KG-genotipova odlikuje piramidalan klas bele boje sa prisutnim zupcima. Izuzetak čini genotip KG-162/7 koji ima paralelan
klas, kao i genotip KG-191/5-13 sa vretenastim oblikom klasa. Takođe, za
razliku od svih ostalih genotipova, genotip KG-60-3/3 karakteriše klas sa
prisutnim osjem. Svojstvo donja plevica – širina ramena se kretala u
rasponu od uskog, do veoma širokog, dok su svi genotipovi imali ravan
oblik ramena donje plevice. Analizirani genotipovi pšenice pripadaju
ozimom tipu.

AB  - U Srbiji i širem regionu, tokom druge polovine 20. veka, programi oplemenjivanja
i selekcije pasulja uglavnom su se obavljali s ciljem selekcije genotipova
zadovoljavajućeg prinosa i kvaliteta sa determinantnim porastom i jednovremenim
sazrevanjem mahuna pogodnih za mehanizovano gajenje i berbu, dok je selekcija
novih genotipova indeterminantnog porasta bila samo od sekundarnog značaja.
Kao rezultat ovih oplemenjivačkih programa u institutima Srbije (Institut za
povrtarstvo Smederevska Palanka, Institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo Novi Sad,
Institut za poljeprivredu i tehnološka istraživanja Zaječar), u poslednje dve decenije
20. veka registrovan je veći broj novih domaćih sorti. U novije vreme širom
sveta, selekcioneri su fokusirani na rešavanje glavnih nedostataka rasprostranjenih
tradicionalnih i klasičnih sorti, kao što su ispodprosečni prinosi, osetljivost na
najznačajnije prouzrokovače bolesti i štetočine, osetljivost na stress prouzrokovan
toplotom i nedostatkom vode (posebno vazdušna suša). Kako bi se pronašla
odgovarajuća rešenja za navedene izazove u Institutu za povrtarstvo Smederevska
Palanka, postavljen je preliminarni poljski ogled sa ciljem ocenjivanja novopribavljenih
linija, populacija i spontanih hibrida. Praćene su: visina biljke, visina prve
mahune, broj mahuna po biljci, broj semena po biljci i masa 1000 semena, kao i
izračunate osobine i upoređena sa registrovanim sortama Galeb i Biser. U toku
vegetacione sezone pasulja u 2023. godini, od 23 ocenjivana uzorka, 4 (X2, X17, X22
i X23), četiri su iskazala zadovoljavajuće vrednosti ispitivanih osobina. Odabrane
linije su planirane za buduća istraživanja i evaluacije, skrining na tolerantnost na
bakterijske bolesti i ukrštanje sa ciljem dobijanja novih, poboljšanih sorti pasulja.
AB  - In Serbia and the broader region, during the second half of the 20th century,
common bean breeding and selection programs were mostly performed in order
to select genotypes of satisfactory yield and quality with determinant growth and
simultaneous ripening of pods suitable for mechanized cultivation and harvesting,
while the selection of new genotypes of indeterminate growth was only of
secondary importance. As a result of these breeding programs in Serbian institutes
(Smederevska Palanka, Novi Sad, and Zaječar), a greater number of new domestic
varieties were registered in the last two decades of the 20th century. In recent times
worldwide, breeders have focused on addressing the main issues of widespread
traditional and classic varieties, such as below-average yields, susceptibility to plant
diseases and pests, intolerance to heat, and water stress. In order to mitigate such
demands at the Institute for Vegetable Crops Smederevska Palanka, a preliminary
field trial was set up with the aim of evaluating newly provided landraces, populations,
and spontaneous hybrids. Plant height, height of the first pod, number of pods
per plant, number of seeds per plant, and mass of 1000 seeds, as well as calculated
traits, were measured and compared with registered varieties Galeb and Biser. In
the growing season 2023, among the 23 accessions evaluated, 4 (X2, X17, X22, and
X23) expressed satisfactory values of examined traits. Selected lines are planned
for future research and evaluation, screening for tolerance to bacterial diseases,
and crossing with the aim of obtaining new, improved varieties of common beans.

Efikasnost bioloških preparata u zaštiti paprike od prouzrokovača bakteriozne pegavosti lišća (Xanthomonas euvesicatoria)

AB  - U cilju proučavanja efikasnosti bioloških preparata u zaštiti paprika od prouzrokovača
bakteriozne pegavosti lišća (Xanthomonas euvesicatoria), tokom leta 2023. godine, postavljen
je ogled u stakleniku Instituta za povrtarstvo u Smederevskoj Palanci. Proučavana je
efikasnost komercijalno dostupnih bioloških preparate Serenade ASO, Erwix, Bakterije,
Ekstrasol i Bacillomix. Kao standard korišćen je preparat na bazi bakar-hidroksida (Everest).
Proučavanja su obavljena na sorti paprike Paraćinka. Preparati su primenjeni u sledećim
koncentracijama: Serenade ASO (4%), Erwix (2%), Bakterije (1,5%), Ekstrasol (1%),
Bacillomix (1%) i Everest (0,5%). Eksperimentalni dizajn ogleda je potpuno slučajan plan u tri
ponavljanja sa sledećim tretmanima: (a) biljke tretirane pojedinačnim preparatima i nakon
dva sata inokulisane suspenzijom bakterija; (b) biljke tretirane samo suspenzijom bakterija
(pozitivna kontrola); (v) biljke tretirane vodom (negativna kontrola). Inokulacija je vršena u
fenofazi 8-9 listova ručnom prskalicom sojem bakterije X. euvesicatoria KFB 1 (10ˉ8 cfu/mol).
Nakon tretmana, biljke su pokrivene plastičnim kesama, radi održavanja visoke vlažnosti u
trajanju 48 časova. Prvi simptomi su uočeni 10 dana nakon inokulacije, a efikasnost preparata
ocenjena je 3 nedelje posle inokulacije. Indeks oboljenja izračunat je preko površine
nekrotičnih pega na lišću, pomoću Horsfall-Barratt skale, a efikasnost proučavanih baktericida
izračunata je korišćenjem Abbott-ove jednačine. Za statističku obradu korišćena je metoda
analize varijanse, a za pojedinačna poređenja tretmana korišćeni su Dunnett-ov i Duncan-ov
test. Intenzitet zaraze u kontroli je iznosio 53%. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata zaključuje se
da je najefikasniji bio preparat na bazi bakar-hidroksida (96%), dok su biološki preparati
ispoljili slabiji stepen efikasnosti: Serenade ASO (71%), Bakterije (61%), Ekstrasol (61%),
Erwix (55%), Bacillomix (54%). Među biološkim preparatima nije bilo statistički značajne

(pozitivna kontrola); (v) biljke tretirane vodom (negativna kontrola). Inokulacija je vršena u
fenofazi 8-9 listova ručnom prskalicom sojem bakterije X. euvesicatoria KFB 1 (10ˉ8 cfu/mol).
Nakon tretmana, biljke su pokrivene plastičnim kesama, radi održavanja visoke vlažnosti u
trajanju 48 časova. Prvi simptomi su uočeni 10 dana nakon inokulacije, a efikasnost preparata
ocenjena je 3 nedelje posle inokulacije. Indeks oboljenja izračunat je preko površine
nekrotičnih pega na lišću, pomoću Horsfall-Barratt skale, a efikasnost proučavanih baktericida
izračunata je korišćenjem Abbott-ove jednačine. Za statističku obradu korišćena je metoda
analize varijanse, a za pojedinačna poređenja tretmana korišćeni su Dunnett-ov i Duncan-ov
test. Intenzitet zaraze u kontroli je iznosio 53%. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata zaključuje se
da je najefikasniji bio preparat na bazi bakar-hidroksida (96%), dok su biološki preparati
ispoljili slabiji stepen efikasnosti: Serenade ASO (71%), Bakterije (61%), Ekstrasol (61%),
Erwix (55%), Bacillomix (54%). Među biološkim preparatima nije bilo statistički značajne
razlike dok je standardni tretman ispoljio značajno višu efikasnost. Treba naglasiti da je

Direct sowing of rainfed winter wheat and in arid region of South Kazakhstan

AB  - To feed the ever-growing population of the Earth, it is necessary to obtain higher grain yields per unit area. This requires intensive exploitation of arable land against the background of a reduction in their area, which ultimately leads to soil degradation. Currently, about 75% of the territories of the Republic of Kazakhstan are subject to an increased risk of desertification, more than 30.5 million hectares are subject to wind and water erosion, and 54% of these territories are located in the southern part of the country. In the arid climate of southern Kazakhstan, the main limiting factor of crops is the lack of soil moisture and availability of nutrients. In addition in recent few decades the cost of fossil fuels and lubricants are steadily growing. Resource saving technologies such as direct sowing, can significantly contribute in the problems of soil moisture loss, soil degradation due to tillage, wind and water erosion, CO2 emission due to mineralization etc. The effect of different doses and terms of application of growth stimulators, micronutrients, bio-fertilizers and mineral fertilizers, as well as their economic efficiency, was studied in ten variables of rainfed winter wheat grown with zero tillage technology. The use of a combination of growth stimulators and microfertilizers produced the highest grain yield and was the most cost-effective. The greatest value of the nominal net profit of 223.25 euro and 244.10 euro from one hectare was provided and calculated with the recommended target grain yield of 2.0 t/ha dose of mineral fertilizers, respectively; however, the production cost of one ton of grain in these treatments was also highest. Further research is continuing with a wider range and combination of amendments and various crops in a rainfed no-till winter wheat farm in southern Kazakhstan. The results have shown that in dry and hot climate conditions with a deficit moisture regime, direct sowing of rainfed winter wheat can be successfully applied provided an appropriate combination, dosage and timing of fertilizers and crop protection chemicals are applied

Razvoj, fiziologija i anatomija nodula na korenu soje

AB  - Izuzetan ekološki i privredni značaj soje je što kao biljka azotofiksator ima
sposobnost prevođenja atmosferskog azota u amonijačni oblik dostupan biljkama.
Proces se odvija na korenu soje u nodulama koje nastaju u simbiozi biljke i bakterija
iz roda Bradhyrhizobium japonicum. Kontakt između biljke i bakterija počinje
izlučivanjem u zemljište raznih vrsta polifenola (izoflavona), signalnih jedinjenja
koja privlače bakterije. Nakon difuzije izoflavona kroz bakterijsku membranu
dolazi do pokretanja Nod faktora bakterije, tj. lipohitooligosaharida pomoću kojih
bakterija vrši infekciju korenske dlake. Nakon infekcije započinje obrazovanje azotofiksirajuće
nodule u kojoj su svi metabolitički procesi pod potpunom kontrolom
biljke. Biološku fiksaciju u noduli vrši enzim nitogenaza u anaerobnim uslovima.
Biljka i bakterija zajedno stvaraju jedinjenje leghemoglobin koje vezuje kisonik i
omogućava stvaranje anaerobnih uslova koji pogoduju enzimu nitrogenazi vršenje
procesa azotofiksacije. Takođe, leghemoglobin aktivnoj noduli daje crvenu boju na
poprečnom preseku. Anatomska građa aktivne nodule predstavljena je strukturno
sa tri različite zone. Najveću zonu čini centralni deo, tj. tkivo inficirano bakterijama
(rizobijum polje), a na njega se naslanja unutrašnja kora (korteks) i spoljašnja kora
(eksterni korteks). Prve nodule počinju da vrše azotofiksaciju u fazi razvoja soje
„dve troliske“(V2) ili „tri roliske“(V3), da bi najveći broj aktivnih nodula bio u
fenofazi „početak formiranja semena“ (R5). Prosečna aktivnost nodula traje 30-40
dana. O ovim procesima postoji dosta naučnih saznanja, međutim i dalje postoji
dosta prostora za rasvetljavanje odnosa biljka soje i bakterija Bradhyrhizobium
japonicum, a sve u funkciji dobrobiti koje oni donose poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji.
AB  - The exceptional ecological and economic importance of soybeans is that, as a
nitrogen-fixing plant, it has the ability to convert atmospheric nitrogen into an
ammonia form available to plants. The process takes place on soybean roots in
nodules that are formed in the symbiosis of the plant and bacteria from the genus
Bradhyrhizobium japonicum. The contact between the plant and the bacteria begins
with the excretion into the soil of various types of polyphenols (isoflavones),
signal compounds that attract the bacteria. After the diffusion of isoflavones
through the bacterial membrane, the Nod factor of the bacteria is activated, i.e.
of lipochitooligosaccharides with which the bacterium infects the root hair. After
infection, the formation of a nitrogen-fixing nodule begins, in which all metabolic
processes are under the complete control of the plant. Biological fixation in the
nodule is carried out by the enzyme nitrogenase under anaerobic conditions.
Together, the plant and the bacteria create the compound leghemoglobin, which
binds oxygen and enables the creation of anaerobic conditions that favor the nitrogenase
enzyme for the nitrogen fixation process. Also, leghemoglobin gives the
active nodule a red color on cross-section. The anatomical structure of the active

benefits they bring to agricultural production.

abstract = "Izuzetan ekološki i privredni značaj soje je što kao biljka azotofiksator ima
sposobnost prevođenja atmosferskog azota u amonijačni oblik dostupan biljkama.
Proces se odvija na korenu soje u nodulama koje nastaju u simbiozi biljke i bakterija
iz roda Bradhyrhizobium japonicum. Kontakt između biljke i bakterija počinje
izlučivanjem u zemljište raznih vrsta polifenola (izoflavona), signalnih jedinjenja
koja privlače bakterije. Nakon difuzije izoflavona kroz bakterijsku membranu
dolazi do pokretanja Nod faktora bakterije, tj. lipohitooligosaharida pomoću kojih
bakterija vrši infekciju korenske dlake. Nakon infekcije započinje obrazovanje azotofiksirajuće
nodule u kojoj su svi metabolitički procesi pod potpunom kontrolom
biljke. Biološku fiksaciju u noduli vrši enzim nitogenaza u anaerobnim uslovima.
Biljka i bakterija zajedno stvaraju jedinjenje leghemoglobin koje vezuje kisonik i
omogućava stvaranje anaerobnih uslova koji pogoduju enzimu nitrogenazi vršenje
procesa azotofiksacije. Takođe, leghemoglobin aktivnoj noduli daje crvenu boju na
poprečnom preseku. Anatomska građa aktivne nodule predstavljena je strukturno
sa tri različite zone. Najveću zonu čini centralni deo, tj. tkivo inficirano bakterijama
(rizobijum polje), a na njega se naslanja unutrašnja kora (korteks) i spoljašnja kora
(eksterni korteks). Prve nodule počinju da vrše azotofiksaciju u fazi razvoja soje
„dve troliske“(V2) ili „tri roliske“(V3), da bi najveći broj aktivnih nodula bio u
fenofazi „početak formiranja semena“ (R5). Prosečna aktivnost nodula traje 30-40
dana. O ovim procesima postoji dosta naučnih saznanja, međutim i dalje postoji
dosta prostora za rasvetljavanje odnosa biljka soje i bakterija Bradhyrhizobium
japonicum, a sve u funkciji dobrobiti koje oni donose poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji., The exceptional ecological and economic importance of soybeans is that, as a
