The influence of effective microorganisms on some characteristics of different maize

AB  - The aim of the research was to determine the impact of the EM Aktiv preparation in the maize crop (ZP 427 and ZP 548) at 160, 120, 102 kg ha-1 N in 2017 at the location of the municipality of Vladimirovci. During the growing season, there was a pronounced water deficit. The preparation was applied in three variants: EM1 - control, EM2 - foliar 2 x 6 l ha-1 in the phenological stages of 5-7 leaves and after 15 days; EM3 - the preparation was introduced into the soil 7 days before sowing 30 l ha-1 + EM2. The mass of 1000 grains, the height of the yield and the nitrogen content in the grain were determined. Application of 160 kg ha-1 nitrogen had the greatest effect on the weight of 1000 grains, and 120 kg ha-1 The production of maize on a global level takes place in a way that affects the degradation of resources and elements of the environment, the increasing dependence on mineral fertilizers and pesticides, which leads to the production of greenhouse gases and a negative impact on climate change. Today, N on grain yield in all treatments. The treatments had a positive effect on both traits. Higher values of the tested properties were found in the EM3 treatment. The applied factors did not have a statistically significant effect on the nitrogen content of maize grains.

AB  - Due to the pronounced food needs of the growing population, inputs in agricultural production in the form of fertilizers, pesticides and mechanization of agriculture have increased, which has led to higher yields, but also numerous problems in the environment. Although agriculture is highly dependent on climate conditions, it also has a significant role in changing them. All of this has influenced the introduction of measures to replace chemical inputs and protect the health of people and ecosystems. One of the measures is the introduction of different microbiological products into the production technology. In order to test the effect of effective microorganisms in the preparation (EM Aktiv (trade name) on the characteristic bioactive substances of certain plant species, research was conducted on different genotypes: lettuce on the total antioxidant potential and vitamin C, wheat on the grain protein content and corn on the nitrogen content. Research has been carried out for many years in different agro-climatic conditions. Using preparations with effective microorganisms, it is possible to increase the content of biologically active substances in agricultural and vegetable crops and alleviate the stress of plants in unfavorable agro-meteorological conditions.

AB  - Background: In order to reduce the use of synthetic and chemical agents in agriculture, more and more research is turning to
ecological, more environmentally friendly methods. Plant aqueous extracts are products that can be a significant source of various
elements, depending on the type and quality of soil on which the plant species from which the solution is prepared is grown.
Methods: The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of aqueous extracts of different plant species on the yield and quality
parameters of soybean seeds (Glycine max L.). Aqueous extracts of: nettle, nettle+comfrey, banana, banana peel, onion, willow and
soybeans were used foliarly. The 1st foliar treatment plants was done when first flowers opened and the 2nd treatment was done when
first pod reached final length.
Result: The effect of aqueous extracts depends on the agroecological conditions and the analyzed traits. In 2020 the greatest effect
was achieved on the free proline, SOD, Px and CAT. In 2021 the application of certain aqueous extracts had a significant effect on
the yield, gerimination energy, germination percentage and vigour seed.

AB  - Kukuruz, kao visokoprinosna biljka velike vegetativne mase i dugog
vegetacionog perioda, ima velike potrebe u pogledu ishrane i
navodnjavanja. Pored makroelemenata koji su nosioci prinosa, u ishrani
biljaka veliki značaj imaju i mikroelementi, među kojima se ističe cink. Cilj ovog rada je određivanje uticaja cinka na visinu prinosa zrna različitih
genotipova kukuruza. Trofaktorijalan ogled je postavljenu u regionu Posavo-tamnave u periodu od 2017. do 2018. godine. U proseku za 2018.,
najveći uticaj na visinu prinosa zrna imala je količina od 120 kg N ha-1
(7,86 t ha-1). Pri ovom đubrenju, hibridi ZP 427 (8,17 t ha-1) i ZP 548 (8,02
t ha-1) imali su najveći prinos zrna. Hibrid ZP 684 pri količini od 160 kg N
ha-1 imao je najveći prinos zrna (7,81 t ha-1). Tretmani su različito delovali
na prinos zrna kod hibrida. U odnosu na kontrolu T1, tretman T2 je za
14,56% povećao prinos, a T3 za 14,17%.
AB  - Maize, as a high-yielding plant with a large vegetative mass and a long
growing season, has great needs in terms of nutrition and irrigation. In
addition to macro elements which are the fundamental for yield,
microelements are also of the great importance in corn nutrition, among
which zinc stands out. The aim of the work was to determine the influence
of zinc on the grain yield of different maize genotypes. A three-factorial
experimental trial was set up in the Posavo-tamnava region in the period
from 2017-2018. On average for 2018, the amount of 120 kg N ha-1 had
the greatest impact on grain yield (7.86 t ha-1). With this fertilization, hybrids ZP 427 (8.17 t ha-1) and ZP 548 (8.02 t ha-1) had the highest grain
yield. The hybrid ZP 684 at the amount of 160 kg N ha-1 had the highest grain yield (7.81 t ha-1). Treatments had different effects on grain yield in
hybrids. Compared to control T1, treatment T2 increased yield by 14.56%,
and T3 by 14.17%.

AB  - One of the latest environmentally friendly methods in soybean production technology is the pulsed electromagnetic field of low frequencies (PEMP). The paper presents the results of the influence of electromagnetic stimulation of soybean seeds on grain yield, protein and oil yield, depending on different agroclimatic conditions, exposure time and frequency. In the 2012–2017 research period, the soybean cv. Valjevka was used in the Institute of Field and Vegetable Agriculture experimental field, Novi Sad, Serbia. Immediately before sowing, the seeds were subjected to PEMP treatment, with a pulse generator and a tape applicator, in the following variants: electromagnetic field frequencies of 16, 24 and 30 Hz, and exposure time of 0, 30 and 60 min. The most successful variant of seed stimulation for all three examined parameters was at 16 Hz and 30 min, where the research results show that this measure can increase the examined parameters by more than 10%. The average yield of grain for all years of research with seed stimulation was 4.85% (3 338 kg/ha) compared to the control (3 203 kg/ha). The average grain protein yield in the treatments with PEMP was 1 315 kg/ha, which was 4.26% higher compared to the variant without PEMP
(1 260 kg/ha), and the treatment was 4% higher in the average oil yield, 703 kg/ha compared to the control 676 kg/ha.
Also, the analysis of the mutual dependence of the indicators is in a positive correlation, which is essential for plant breeding and the development of new technologies, which have economic justification, are safe for use and have
a positive impact on adverse effects such as drought.

Modern agricultural production implies rather an irrational use of large amounts of pesticide
and mineral fertilizers, significantly diminishing the quality of agricultural land, and
negatively affecting the environment, food quality and human health. In order to diminish
adverse effects of intensive agricultural production, farmers around the world incline to an
increased use of microorganisms to reduce the use of mineral fertilizers and pesticides to
some extent. Agricultural production is facing certain requirements to reduce chemical inputs
in order to protect the environment, produce safe and profitable food. This situation is
additionally aggravated by climate changes that require many practices to adapt accordingly.
The experimental research was carried out during 2016-2019 at the “PKB Agroekonomik”
Institute. Field operations were done with typical agricultural practices, and four variants of
fertilization were set up. Prior to sowing, 400 kg ha-1 NPK 15:15:15 was applied. Different
rates of UREA 46% N were used in spring top-dressing of the crops. Aside of mineral
fertilizer, microbiological products with active microorganisms were also used for topdressing.
Two wheat varieties – Ratarica and Pobeda were used. The goal of the research was
to determine the impact of different rates of fertilizer and microbiological products on
productive and morphological properties of wheat.

AB  - The need for certified organic agricultural products is ever greater as in the World, so in Serbia. Triennial research was conducted with five soybean varieties and foliar treatment with aqueous extract and aminoacids aimed at esstablishing examined factors’ influence on soybean yield and organic soybean cultivation system sustainability. A field experiment was set in four repetitions.
All three examined factors have shown significant influence on soybean yield and that such a method of soybean cultivation is sustainable. However, in dry farming, soybean grain yield height is mostly influenced by weather conditions, primarily precipitation quantity and distribution, as well as temperature height during the vegetation period, hence yield height varies from year to year.

AB  - In modern directions of food production, it is necessary to apply measures that would reduce the
possibility of soil degradation. The aim of the work was to determine the influence of effective
microorganisms on the basic parameters of soil biogenicity in the production of wheat and corn. The
experiment with wheat was carried out in 2019 and the experiment with maize in 2017.
Agroecological conditions in 2019 were optimal for wheat production. In 2017, unfavorable
agrometeorological conditions for maize production were recorded. In both experiments, the
microbiological preparation EM Aktiv with effective microorganisms was used. With wheat, it was
applied twice foliarly with 6 l ha-1. In the case of maize, EM Aktiv was introduced into the soil before
sowing at 20 l ha-1 and foliarly applied twice at 6 l ha-1. The rhizosphere soil was analyzed. The total
number of microorganisms and the abundance of Azotobacter in wheat were determined. In the case
of corn, the total number of microorganisms and the number of ammonifiers were determined. In both
experiments, an increase in the number of tested groups of microorganisms was found. The percentage
increase in abundance depended on the genotype of wheat and corn. Based on the results, it was
concluded that the application of effective microorganisms is necessary and that in sustainable food
production systems it should be a mandatory measure to preserve the basic resources for food
production.

AB  - Mushrooms, due to their nutritional value, are increasingly included in people's diets. A small number of species are cultivated commercially in the world. There is also not a lot of research related to mushroom cultivation technology. The goal of the work was to determine the application of effective microorganisms in the production of champignon mushrooms in briquettes. EM Aktiv preparation is used in two treatments. In treatment EM1, compost was sprayed in the briquettes after mycelium sowing. Peat used as mulch was also sprayed twice. In the course of cultivation, spraying with water mist with the addition of preparations was carried out. In the EM2 treatment, only the initial treatment of compost and peat was carried out. The diameter of the champignon cap and the weight of the champignon were measured in each harvest (5 harvests in total). The diameter of the cap showed statistically significant differences only in dependence on the harvest term. With the length of the growing time, the diameter of the mushroom cap also increased. Mushroom mass was statistically highly dependent on treatment and harvest time. In treatment EM 1, an increase in the mass of champignons was determined by 19.97% compared to the control, and in treatment EM 2 by 0.04%.

AB  - Primena novih tehnologija u cilju dobijanja višeg prinosa gajenih
biljaka i boljeg kvaliteta proizvoda je ključ za unapređenje poljoprivrede u budućnosti. Efektivni mikroorganizmi sve više nalaze primenu u intenzivnoj konvencionalnoj i organskoj biljnoj proizvodnji jer njihovom
primenom smanjuju se troškovi proizvodnje, povećava biogenost
zemljišta, smanjuju bolesti na usevima i pozitivno utiče na zaštitu životne
sredine. Primena preparata EM-Aktiv značajno povećava prinos soje i
pozitivno utiče na morfološke osobine, masu i visinu biljaka, masu 1000
zrna i žetveni indeks soje.
AB  - The application of new technologies in order to obtain a higher yield of
cultivated plants and better product quality is the key to improving
agriculture in the future. Effective microorganisms are increasingly used in intensive conventional and organic plant production because their application reduces production costs, increases soil biogenicity, reduces
crop diseases and has a positive effect on environmental protection. The
application of EM-Aktiv significantly increases the yield of soybeans and
has a positive effect on the morphological characteristics, weight and

AB  - Agriculture has managed to produce enough food for the accelerated population
growth, which has led to environmental transformation and increasingly intensive exploitation of
both renewable and non-renewable natural resources. The use of synthetic plant protection
agents and fertilizers can lead to negative consequences in food production. Identification of
agricultural food production systems is gaining importance in order to protect human health and
the environment. Interest in the cultivation of certain plant species with an innovative approach
to cultivation and technology has grown significantly. Organic and integrated agriculture implies
the use of natural products while limiting or completely eliminating the use of synthetic
resources. Knowledge of the mineral composition in tomato samples can be used as a potent tool
in the identification of chemical markers as potential indicators of the farming system. The goal of
the research is to determine the impact of different production systems on the content of
macroelements in the fruits of different types of tomatoes.

AB  - Visoki prinosi i stabilna proizvodnja soje pod direktnim su uticajem
količine i rasporeda padavina, dostupnosti hraniva biljkama i
pravovremenosti primene agrotehničkih mera. Cilj ovih istraživanja je
ispitivanje uticaja vremena osnovne obrade i folijarne primene đubriva
na visinu prinosa soje. Zimska osnovna obrada zemljišta smanjuje prinos
soje u proseku za 4,07%, odnosno od 2,16% do 5,57% u različitim
godinama, dok prolećna osnovna obrada smanjuje prinos za 11,20% (od
6,11% do 18,06%). Folijarna primena đubriva povećava prinos u proseku
za 4,76%, a povećanje se kretalo od 1,27% pri jesenjoj osnovnoj obradi u
2020. godini do 8,40% pri prolećnoj osnovnoj obradi u 2019. godini.
AB  - High yields and stability of soybean production are directly affected by the amount and distribution of precipitation, available nutrients, and moment of agrotechnical measures application. This research aimed to examine the effect of primary tillage moment and foliar fertilization on soybean yield. Winter tillage reduced the soybean yield by 2.16% ̶ 5.57% in different years, 4.07% on average, while spring tillage reduced yield by 11.20% on average (6.11% ̶ 18.06%). Foliar fertilization increased yield by 4.76% on average, the increase ranged from 1.27% when autumn tillage was applied in 2020 to 8.40% when tillage was conducted in spring of 2019.

AB  - The need for certified organic agricultural products is ever greater as in the
World, so in Serbia. Triennial research was conducted with five soybean varieties
and foliar treatment with aqueous extract and aminoacids aimed at esstablishing
examined factors’ influence on soybean yield and organic soybean cultivation
system sustainability. A field experiment was set in four repetitions. All three
examined factors have shown significant influence on soybean yield and that
such a method of soybean cultivation is sustainable. However, in dry farming,
soybean grain yield height is mostly influenced by weather conditions, primarily
precipitation quantity and distribution, as well as temperature height during the
vegetation period, hence yield height varies from year to year.

AB  - The research was carried out in three vegetative seasons 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2018/19, on an experimental plot in Padinska Skela, Belgrade, Serbia. The supplement included four NPK treatments (kg ha−1) and foliar treatment with effective microorganisms (EM 7 l ha−1) T1-129: 60: 60; T2-129: 60: 60 + 1 EM; T3-106: 60: 60 + 2 EM ; T4-83: 60: 60 + 3 EM. Four wheat genotypes were sown (Ratarica, Pobeda, Nogal, and Apache). Thousand grain weight and grain yield were determined. The thousand grain weight (TGW) was in the variety Pobeda 43.73 g, and the highest grain yield was in the variety Ratarica 7.02 tha−1. Both varieties are medium late, bread varieties. The treatments have different effects on the studied variables. The TGW was the highest in the T2 treatment of 40.81 g and the grain yield in T3 of 6.62 t ha−1, which was at the level of statistical significance of p > 0.01. The crude protein content was highest in the treatment of T2 13.93% (p > 0.01).

AB  - Soja je leguminoza sposobna da usvaja elementarni azot iz vazduha zahvaljujući simbiozi sa kvržičnim bakterijama. Inokulacija semena soje visokoefektivnim bakterijama povećava usvajanje azota i pozitivno deluje na ostvareni prinos. Cilj ovoga rada je sagledavanje uticaja primene NS Nitragina na prinos šest sorti soje različitih grupa zrenja. Inokulacija statistički veoma značajno povećava prinos soje, a povećanje se u proseku kretalo od 6,13% kod sorte NS Zoja do 8,49% kod sorte Sava.
AB  - Soybeans are legumes capable of absorbing elemental nitrogen from the air thanks to symbiosis with symbiotic bacteria. Inoculation of soybean seeds with highly effective bacteria increases nitrogen uptake and has a positive effect on the achieved yield. The aim of this paper is to consider the effect of NS Nitragine application on the yield of six soybean cultivars of different maturation groups. Inoculation statistically significantly increased soybean yield, and the increase ranged from 6.13% in the cultivar NS Zoja to 8.49% in the cultivar Sava.

AB  - Maize production is intensified with a larger amount of mineral fertilisers in the era of meteorological conditions change, which leads to a decrease in the reserves of microelements in the soil. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of zinc application on grain yield, nitrogen and carbon content in grain of three maize genotypes in the period 2016–2018 (factor A). Factor B: cultivars ZP 427, ZP 548 and ZP 687 belonging to different maturation groups. Factor C: Various zinc treatments were applied: T1 – control; T2 – 25 kg Zn2+/ha (35 g of ZnSO4 on the experimental plot) was introduced into the soil before sowing; T3 – seed treatment (0.129 g of ZnSO4 • 7 H2O) + foliar treatment (2 L/ha liquid fertiliser 7% Zn2+). The average yield for all examined variables was 7.33 t/ha. On average, T2 (8.08 t/ha) treatment showed a highly significant effect on the yield in relation to T1 (7.03 t/ha) and on T3 (7.21 t/ha). On average, the amount of nitrogen determined for all cultivars was the highest in T3 (1.52%). The highest carbon content was in T1 (41.78%), which is at the level of significance of P < 0.01 more than T2 (41.46%), while in relation to T3 (40.99%) there is no significance.

AB  - Primena različitih mikrobioloških preparata sve više je prisutna u
poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji, jer utiču na stabilniju proizvodnju i zaštitu
životne sredine. U radu je analiziran uticaj mikrobioloških preparata i to:
preparat sa efektivnim mikroorganizmima i preparat sa sporama gljive
Trichoderme atroviride na masu 1000 zrna i visinu prinosa zrna pasulja.
Oba preparata u ogledu su značajno uticali na ispitivane osobine kod dve
sorte pasulja Zlatko i Maksa. Efektivni mikroorganizmi, primenjeni u
zemljištu i folijarno u toku vegetacije, uticali su da je masa 1000 zrna bila
veća za 16,94%, a primena efektivnih mikroorganizama samo u zemljište
je povećala prinos zrna pasulja za 46,02% u odnosu na kontrolu. Primena
preparata sa Tr. atroviride je za 17,13% povećala masu 1000 zrna, a
prinos za 56,58 %.
AB  - The application of various microbiological preparations is increasingly
present in agricultural production, because they affect more stable
production and environmental protection. The paper analyzed the
influence of microbiological preparations, namely: a preparation with
effective microorganisms and a preparation with spores of the fungus
Trichoderma atroviride on the weight of 1000 seeds and the grain yield of
bean. Both preparations in the experiment had a significant effect on the
tested properties of two varieties of beans, Zlatko and Maksa. Effective
microorganisms applied to the soil and foliar during the growing season
had the effect that the weight of 1000 grains was greater by 16.94%, and
the application of effective microorganisms only to the soil increased the
bean grain yield by 46.02 % compared to the control. Application of
preparations with Tr. atroviride increased the mass of 1000 grains by
17.13 %, and the yield by 56.58 %.

AB  - Foliar aqueous extract application has a positive effect on soybean yield and quality. The aim of
this research wos to examine the influence of foliar application of aqueous banana peel and
apical soybean plant part extracts on the yield of five soybean varieties that are of different
maturity groups. This way, plant material would be used for soybean grain yield increase, and
synthetic artificial fertilizer use would be avoided along with environmental polution. The results
were processed via tri-factorial experiment variance analysis, and significancy of differences was
tested via LSD test. Foliar application of aqueous banana peel extract increased soybean yield in
a three-year experiment by 4.07% (annually from 1.33% to 6.62%), and the application of
aqueous apical soybean plant part extract by 4.21% (annually from 1.21% to 6.90%). Greater
yield increase was recorded during years that were unfavorable for soybean production, with the
varieties Rubin (5.69% and 5.90%) and Merkur (4.34% and 4.40%) having a greater yield
increase compared to other soybean varieties included in the experiment (NS Kaća 3.73% and
3.30%, NS Maximus 3.37% and 3.76%, NS Apolo 3.04% and 3.38%). The year immensely
influences soybean yield, primarily depending on precipitaton distribution and quantity and
temperature conditions during the vegetation period. Aqueous banana peel and apical soybean
plant part extracts significantly increase soybean yield.

AB  - The aim of this study was to determine the influence foliar application of the microbiological preparation (EM Aktiv) with a mixture of different groups of microorganisms (on different genotypes of wheat in sustainable agricultural production on the weight of 1000 grains and grain yield.) The research was conducted in the period 2016/2017-2018/2019 (factor A) in the region of Vojvodina, Serbia, which includes four varieties of wheat (factor B). Factor C three variants of nitrogen are provided for wheat nutrition: 129, 106 and 83 kgˑha-1. During the vegetation, applications were performed with the microbiological preparation "EM Aktiv": F0 129 kgˑha-1 without EM, F1 129 kgˑha-1 + 1 x EM; F2 106 kgˑha-1 + 2 x EM; F3 83 kgˑha-1 + 3 x EM. At the end of the growing season, the weight of 1000 grains and the grain yield were measured. Factors A and B had an effect on the increase of the tested traits p<0.01. The highest values were recorded in 2018/2019. Factor C affected an increase in the weight of 1000 grains from 0.14% (F3) to 1.91% (F1). The differences in grain yield were significantly influenced by treatments (C) (p<0.05). The increase was from 1.91 % (F3) to 4.76 % (F1).

AB  - The aim of this study was to examine the impact of seed priming on seed quality parameters (germination energy, germination, seedling length and vigor index) of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) and sudangrass (Sorghum sudanense Pers.). The experiment was performed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, Serbia. The research was conducted on the seeds of the sorghum variety NS Džin and sudangrass variety Srem. Distilled water and aqueous extracts of young willow branches (Salix matsudana) and mature banana fruits (Musa x paradisiaca) were used to prime the seeds. The seeds were primed for: 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h and 24 h. The results showed that priming sorghum and sudangrass seeds in aqueous extracts of young willow branches and mature banana fruits can have a positive effect on seed quality parameters: germination energy, germination, seedling length and vigor index. The greatest effect on germination energy and seed germination was achieved in sudangrass by using an aqueous extract of young willow branches. The increase was 9.30% and 9.20%, respectively. Priming sorghum seeds in aquatic extracts of mature banana fruits had the greatest effect on seedling length and vigor index. The increase was 36.86% and 40.33%, respectively. For all research parameters, priming for 3 h was the most effective. However, in addition to the positive effect, priming can also have a negative effect. The most significant reduction was found on sorghum seeds, when primed in an aqueous extract of mature banana fruit for 24 hours. Germination energy and germination were reduced by 7.14% and 9.30%, respectively.
AB  - Циљ овог рада је био да се испита утицај потапања семена крмног сирка (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) и суданске траве (Sorghum sudanense Pers.) на параметре квалитета семена (енергија клијања, клијавост, дужина клијанца и вигор индекс). Оглед је изведен на Институту за ратарство и повртарство у Новом Саду. Истраживања су спроведена на семену крмног сирка сорте НС Џин и суданске траве сорте Срем. За потапање семена коришћена је дестилована вода, и водени екстракт младих грана врбе (Salix matsudana) и зрелих плодова банане (Musa x paradisiaca). Семе је потапано у трајању од: 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h и 24 h. AB  - Cilj rada bio je da se ispita da li potapanje semena može da poboljša
klijavost semena soje u nepovoljnim uslovima, odnosno na nižoj
temperaturi. Za istraživanje je korišćeno seme sorte soje NS Apolo, koja
je selekcionisana na Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu.
Seme je potapano u različite rastvore: kalijum nitrat - KNO3 (1%),
askorbinska kiselina - AsA (100 mg l-1) i kalijum hlorid - KCl (1%).
Nakon sušenja, seme je naklijavano na temperaturi 10°C, dok je seme
naklijavano na optimalnoj temperaturi od 25°C poslužilo kao kontrola.
Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je potapanje semena pre setve
poboljšalo energiju klijanja, klijavost semena i brzinu klijanja u uslovima
niske temperature.
Upotreba rastvora KNO3 i AsA bila je efekasnija od primene rastvora
KCl u uslovima niže temperature. Rastvor KNO3 i AsA su značajnije
uticali na povećanje klijavosti i energije klijanja.

improve the germination of soybean seeds in unfavorable conditions, i.e.
at a lower temperature. For the research, the seeds of the NS Apolo
soybean variety, which were selected at the Institute of Agriculture and
Vegetables in Novi Sad, were used. The seeds were primed in different
solutions: potassium nitrate - KNO3 (1%), ascorbic acid - AsA (100 mg l-
1) and potassium chloride - KCl (1%). After drying, the seeds were
germinated at a temperature of 10°C, while the seeds germinated at an
optimal temperature of 25°C served as a control. The research results
showed that priming the seeds before sowing improved germination energy, seed germination and germination rate under low temperature
conditions. The use of KNO3 and AsA solution was more effective than
the use of KCl solution under lower temperature conditions. The solution
of KNO3 and AsA significantly influenced the increase in germination
and germination energy.

AB  - The application of methods in the field of biophysics, such as the pulsating
electromagnetic field (PEMP) to biological organisms, many studies are performed that indicate
specific changes and efficient action on various biochemical processes of cells in plants. The
obtained results do not depend only on the plant species, but also on the climatic conditions,
agrotechnical measures and exposure time, intensity and nature of the fields used in the research.
The aim of the study was the effect of stimulation of soybean seeds with PEMP. Soybean seeds
are rich in quality proteins, oils and fats. The three-year research period 2013-2015 implied
different agrometeorological conditions. Soybean seeds of the Valjevka variety were used.
Soybeans were grown with different amounts of organic granular poultry manure (control - no
fertilization, 750 kg.ha-1
i 1300 kg.ha-1
). Seed stimulation was performed before sowing with
PEMP low frequency 15 Hz and exposure of 30 minutes. Seed stimulation efficiency was very
pronounced because it statistically significantly (p <0.01) increased grain yield by 4.85% and
protein content in grain by 3.52%.

AB  - In the last few decades, new soybean varieties with different characteristics, grain quality and
purpose have been created, contributing to its expansion and increase in the cultivation area.
Thanks to good agronomic characteristics, soybean has found its place in sustainable production
systems. In order to increase the yield and quality of grain in sustainable soybean growing
systems, different foliar treatments with different active substances have been increasingly
applied. The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the application of EM Aktiv with
effective microorganisms on the number of pods per plant, weight of 1000 grains and grain yield
of different soybean cultivars grown in an integrated cultivation system. The research was
conducted in the period 2016-2019 in the experimental field of the Institute of Field and
Vegetable Crops Novi Sad. Varieties from three maturing groups Galina (0 group), Sava (I
group) and Rubin (II group) were grown. Variants of fertilization application were: T1 control,
T2 EM Aktiv was applied to the soil before sowing 20 l.ha-1, and later in vegetation 6 l.ha-1 (the
first foliar treatment in the phase of three to four trefoils and the second before flowering in the
budding phase), T3 NPK 8:15:15 300 kg.ha-1 in basic treatment and T4 combination of T2 and
T3 treatments. On average for all three years of the study were found statistically significant
differences between the variables in all properties. The highest values were determined when
applying T4 treatment. The number of pods was 55.92, the weight of 1000 grains was 163.61 g
and the yield was 4.240 kg.ha-1. The cultivar Rubin (II maturing group) showed the highest
values for all examined variables on average after all treatments.

AB  - Морфолошке особине биљака соје зависе првенствено од сортних
карактеристика, али исте веома варирају услед различитих
климатских прилика у појединим годинама, квалитета земљишта,
обезбеђености биљака хранивима и њиховом нивоу доступности,
стресним условима током раста и развоја соје и сл. Циљ ових
истраживања је испитивање утицаја године и различитих сорти на
висину биљака и масу 1000 зрна соје. У 2017. и 2021. години
статистички је веома значајно нижа висина биљака и маса 1000 зрна
соје у односу на 2016., 2018., 2019. и 2020. годину. Сорта Рубин
имала је статистички веома значајно вишу висину биљака у односу
на сорте Галина и Сава. Статистички веома значајно виша маса 1000
зрна забележена је код сорте Рубин у односу на сорту Галина и
статистички значајно виша вредност у односу на сорту Сава.
AB  - Morphological characteristics of soybean plants depend primarily on
varietal characteristics, but they differ greatly due to different climatic
conditions in certain years, soil quality, plant nutrient supply and their
level of availability, stressful conditions during soybean growth and
development, etc. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of
year and different varieties on plant height and weight of 1000 soybean
grains. In 2017 and 2021, the height of plants and the mass of 1000
soybean grains were statistically significantly lower compared to 2016,
2018, 2019 and 2020. The Rubin variety had a statistically very
significantly higher plant height compared to the Galina and Sava
varieties. A statistically very significantly higher mass of 1000 grains
were recorded in the cultivar Rubin in relation to the cultivar Galina and a
statistically significantly higher value in relation to the cultivar Sava.
