AB  - The storage proteins influence technological quality value of grain wheat, dough quality traits, and loaf quality. The aim of this study is to estimate variability in the dry gluten content, loaf volume, and their relationships with encoding alleles of gliadin and glutenins. Wheat genotypes grown in two vegetation seasons (2015/16 and 2016/17) were studied. The technological quality traits analyzed in this study varied in wheat genotypes within and between vegetation seasons. In both vegetation seasons the highest dry gluten content was established in G-3621-1 (30.23% and 31.15%) and the highest value of loaf volume in G-3621-1 (530 ml and 540 ml). In both vegetation seasons the least dry gluten content was found in G-3606-6 (25.42% and 25.98%) and the least loaf volume in G-3606-6 (380 ml and 390 ml). The composition of gliadin and glutenin alleles in the wheat genotypes analyzed was different. The genotypes carrying Gli-B1b, Gli-D1b, Gli-D2b, and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d had the highest gluten content, while the genotype that carried Gli-B1l and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d had high bread volume. The results have shown relationships between gliadin and glutenin alleles and quality traits of grain, flour, and bread.
AB  - Резервни протеини  ендосперма семена утичу на вредност особина технолошког квалитета семена пшенице, особине квалитета теста и квалитет хлеба. Циљ овог рада је био оцена варијабилности садржаја сувог глутена и запремине хлеба, као и њихове повезаности са кодирајућим алелима глијадина и глутенина. У изучавања је укључено 10 генетички дивергентних генотипова пшенице (G-3626-1, G-3618-2, G-3606-4, G3636-3, G-3627-1, G-3621-1, G-3606-5, G -3607-5, G-3606-6, G-3632-2). Код ових генотипова је анализиран, садржај сувог глутена и запремине хлеба у две вегетационе сезоне (2015/16 и 2016/17). У истраживањима је установљено варирање вредности особина технолошког квалитета код анализираних генотипова пшенице у обе вегетационе сезоне, као и варирање вредности особина између вегетационих сезона код истог генотипа. У обе вегетационе сезоне утврђен је највећи садржај сувог глутена код генотипа G-3621-1 (30,23% и 31,15%) и највећа вредност запремине векне код генотипа G-3621-1 (530 ml и 540 ml). У обе вегетације је најмањи садржај сувог глутена био код генотипа G-3606-6 (25,42% и 25,98%), а најмањa запремина векне у G-3606-6 (380 ml и 390 ml). Састав алела глијадина и глутенина код анализираних генотипова пшенице је био различит. Генотипови код којих су били идентификовани алели: GliB1b, Gli-D1b, Gli-D2b i Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d су имали највећи садржај глутена, а генотипови који је носиоци алела Gli -B1l и Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d су имали веће вредности запремине хлеба. Добијени резултати су показали да постоји повезаност између алела глијадина и глутенина са испољавањем вредности особина квалитета семена, брашна и хлеба.

The aim of this study estimation of variability grain protein content, sedimentation volume, dry gluten content, loaf volume and their relationships with encoding allele of gliadin and glutenins. For investigation used wheat genotypes grown in two vegetation season (2015/16 and 2016/17). The analysed technological quality traits varied in wheat genotypes within and between vegetation season. In both vegetation season were established the highest grain protein content in G-3627-1 (14.40% and 14.60%), the highest protein sedimentation volume in G-3606-5 (46.0 ml and 52.0 ml), the highest dry gluten content in G-3621-1 (30.23% and 31.15%) and the highest value of loaf volume in the G-3621-1 (530 ml and 540 ml). In both vegetation were found the least protein sedimantation volume in genotypes G-3636-3 (34.0 ml snd 36. ml), the least grain protein content in G-3606-4 (13.10% and 13.00%), the least dry gluten content was in G-3606-6 (25.42% and 25.98%) and the least loaf volume in G-3606-6 (380 ml and 390 ml). The composition of gliadin and glutenin alleles at the analyzed wheat geneotypes was different. In analysed wheat genotypes at six Gli- loci were identified 24 alleles and at three Glu-1 loci eight alleles. Genotypes carrying Gli-B1b, Gli-D1b, Gli-D2b and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d had the highest sedimentation volume, genotype that carried Gli-B1l and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d had high volume of bread. The results showed relationships of gliadin and glutenin alleles with analysed grain, flour and bread traits quality.

AB  - Broj klasova po jedinice površine ima značajan uticaj na formiranje
prinosa kroz osobine, dužinu klasa, broj klasaka u klasu, broj semena u klasu, masu klasa, masu semena u klasu i masu 1000 semena. Cilj rada je izučavanje variranja broja klasova pšenice u različitim rokovima i
gustinama setve. U istraživanja su uključene dve sorte pšenice (Prima i Simonida), u ogledu sa dva roka i tri gustine setve u dve vegetacione
sezone. Rezultati su pokazali značajne razlike u broju klasova m-2, između
sorti, prema gustini setve, po rokovima setve i između dve vegetacione
sezone. U obe vegetacione sezone, najmanji broj klasova m-2 je nađen pri gustini setve 350 semena m-2 kod obe sorte i to 504,50 i 350,33 kod Prime
i 520,50 i 371,83 kod Simonide, dok je najveći broj klasova m-2 utvrđen
pri najvećoj gustini setve (750 semena) i to 558,32 i 372,50 kod sorte Prima i 590,17 u prvoj i 622,17 klasova kod sorte Simonida u drugoj godini. Broj
klasova m-2 je varirao zavisno od genotipa, gustine setve, vremena setve i
uslova u vegetacionoj sezoni.
AB  - The number of spikes per unit area has a significant influence on yield
formation, through characteristics spike length, number of spikelets spike-
1, number of seeds spike-1, mass of spikes, mass of seeds spike-1, weight of
1000 seeds. The aim of the work is to study the variation of number of
wheat spikes m-2 in different sowing date and densities. Two varieties of
wheat Prima and Simonida were included for study number of spikes m-2
in an experiment with two dates and three sowing densities in two growing
seasons. The results showed significant differences for number of spikes
m-2 between two varieties of wheat, sowing dates, sowing densities, and between between two vegetation seasons of research. In both growing
seasons, the lowest number of spikes m-2 was found at the sowing density
of 350 seeds m-2 in both varieties, namely 504.50 and 350.33 in Prime and
520.50 and 371.83 in Simonida variety, while the highest number of spikes m-2 was found at the highest sowing density (750 seeds), namely 558.32
and 372.50 in Prima variety and 590.17 in first and 622.17 spikes in Simonida variety in second year. The number of spikes m-2 varied depending on the genotype, sowing density, sowing time and conditions in the growing season.

AB  - The quality of wheat seed protein is determined by encoding gene alleles, but percentage
content varies depending from genotypes, environmental factors and interaction genotype/
environmental conditions. The aim of this work is analysis of seed protein content,

subunits in bread wheat. The 10 wheat genotypes included in experimental field study in two
vegetation seasons (2015/16 and 2016/17) with different climatic conditions. The results
showed that seed protein content and sedimentation volume, varied in wheat genotypes within
and between vegetation season. The highest seed protein content in both vegetation season
was found in the genotype G-3617-1 (14.00% and 14.80%) and the least in genotype G-
3634-2 (11.40% and 12.00%). The value of protein sedimentation volume in both vegetation
season was the highest in genotype G-3622-1 (52.00 ml and 56.00 ml), while the least in
genotype G-3601-4 (33.00 ml and 36.00 ml). Genotypes were grouped according to the
presence of the same allele at all six loci for gliadins and three loci for high-molecular-weight
glutenins, and found that with high value of seed protein content associate Gli-B1b, Gli-D2b,
and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d, allele, and that with high value of sedimentation protein
volume associated Gli-B1b, Gli-B2b and Glu-A1b, Glu-B1c, Glu-D1d allele.

AB  - Gluten proteins are formed from proteins of flour, gliadin and glutenins which in contact with
water, begin to interact through the formation of chemical bonds. The aim of this study is
identification of encoding genes polymorphisms of gliadin and glutenins in 10 bread wheat
genotypes. For analysis used 30 seeds of 10 wheat genotypes for extraction of gliadins by
70% ethanole, and glutenins by 10% β-mercaptoethanol.The gliadins were separated by acid
page electrophoresis (pH=3.1) on 8.33% polyacrylamide gel, while glutenins were separated
by SDS-PAGE (pH-8.6) on 11.8% gel. Electrophoregrams were used for determining Gli-1
and Gli-2 alleles. The three alleles (a, b, m) at the Gli-A1, four alleles (b, g, l, k) at the Gli-
B1, five alleles (a, b, f, g, k) at the Gli-D1, five alleles (b, e, f, g, k) at the Gli-A2, four alleles
(b, h, j, p) at the Gli-B2 and three alleles (a, b, r) at the Gli-D2 locus were identified. For high
molecular weight glutenin subunists (HMWGS) the three alleles (a, b, c) at the Glu-A1, three
alleles (b, c, d) at the Glu-B1 and two alleles (a, d) at the Glu-D1 were identified. Gluten
proteins varied according to composition alleles encoding gliadin and glutenins in analyzed
wheat genotypes what related with established polymorphisms of each gliadin and glutenin
loci.

Mogući rizici za zdravlje ljudi, nameću zadatak za poboljšanje kvaliteta, proteina, ugljenih hidrata. Potrebno je u oplemenjivanju stvoriti sorte pšenice sa poželjnom kompozicijom glutena, polisaharida, skroba, koje će se koristiti za proizvodnju hrane  bezbedne za zdravlje i da komercijalna proizvodnja obezbedi da, proizvodi budu, po kvalitetu, ceni i snabdevenosti, dostupni i pristupačni za korisnike.
AB  - Wheat production and demand for improving wheat quality have increased worldwide in order to obtain safe food products and preserve human health. Today, refined white flour is most often used to obtain products, the excessive use of which in humans can cause obesity, allergies, intolerance and diseases of the intestinal tract. Possible risks to human health impose the task of improving the quality of protein and carbohydrates. It is necessary to create wheat varieties with the desired composition of gluten, polysaccharides, starch, which will be used for the production of food safe for health. Also, that commercial production to ensures that products are available ensures that products are available at quality and cost and are affordable to users.

AB  - Grain spike index indicate wheat productivity and can be used as criterion in wheat selection in
the wheat breeding program. Aim of this investigation is study of variability of grain spike index
in wheat cultivars grown under different environmental condition. Ten genetically divergent
winter wheat cultivars were included in two year investigation in field experiment in randomized
block design in three replications. The seeds of varieties were sown at the distance of 0.10 m in
rows of 1.0 m length with the distance of 0.2 m. For analysis of grain spike index determined in
proportion of grain mass spike-1/mass of spike, 60 plants in full maturity stage (20 plants per
replication) were used. On the base of analysis of variance by using MSTAT C (5.0 version) and
computed F-test values, differences among cultivars according to value of grain mass spike-1,
mass of spike and also, spike harvest index were established. In the first year the highest spike
harvest index was 0.82 (Fortuna) and the lowest 0.76 in Ljubičevka, with average for all
varieties 0.79, while in the second year the highest spike index was 0.83 in Somborka, and the
lowest 0.77 in Ljubičevka, with average value 0.80. The different values of spike harvest index
indicate response of genotypes to environmental factors as well as interaction of
genotype/environment.

Принос и компоненте приноса две сорте пасуља гајене у здруженој сетви са кукурузом

AB  - Пасуљ (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) заузима значајно место како у
исхрани становништва тако и у пољопривредној производњи. Данас
се производња пасуља одвија на мањим површинама, најчешће без
наводњавања. Циљ рада био је да се у условима без наводњавања
анализира принос и компоненте приноса две сорте ниског пасуља
беле и шарене боје зрна, гајеног у здруженој сетви са кукурузом.
Оглед је постављен 2020. године у близини Краљева. За сетву су
коришћене сорте пасуља Макса и Инка и хибрид кукуруза ЗП 434.
Анализом добијених података утврђено је да се принос између сорти
пасуља није статистички значајно разликовао, док је маса хиљаду
зрна била значајно већа код сорте Макса (341,9 g). Висина биљака се
статистичкизначајно разликовала, сорта Инка имала је просечну
висину од 60,77 cm, а сорта Макса 46,51 cm. Дужина махуне се
значајно разликовала и била је дужа код сорте Инка (9,808 cm), као и
број зрна по махуни, сорта Инка (3,22), Макса (2,49).
AB  - Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) occupies an important place in
the diet of the population as well as in agricultural production. Today, the
production of common bean takes place in smaller areas, usually without
irrigation. The aim of this study was to analyze the yield and yield
components of two varieties of low white and colourful beans, grown in joint sowing with corn, in conditions without irrigation. The experiment

AB  - Оплемењивање биљака има опште и специфичне изазове у креирању пожељних генотипова у различитим екоклиматским условима у циљу решавања бројних ограничења: генетички потенцијал, продуктивност, климатске промене, природни ресурси, раст људске популације и задовољење потреба за исхраном, очување животне средине од загађењаи др. Постојеће климатске промене у регионима широм света (суша, високе температуре, топлота) нарушавају стабилност екосистема и представљају значајан ограничавајући фактор за остваривање високих приноса усева у пољопривредној производњи, за обезбеђење довољне количине хране за људску популацију и економску стабилност. Климатске промене које неповољно утичу на продуктивност биљака у пољопривредној производњи су повезане са постојањем глади милиона људи у свету. Оплемењивањем биљака су створени генотипови са високим потенцијалом за принос, квалитет и отпорношћу на биотичке и абиотичке факторе стреса. Адаптације на климатске промене доприносе смањењу негативног ефекта климатских промена на животни циклус биљака, отпорност на болести и штеточине, сушу, топлотни шок, мраз, односно на производњу хране са пожељним вредностима нутритивних и технолошких особина.
AB  - Plant breeding has general and specific challenges in creating desirable genotypes in different ecoclimatic conditions in order to address numerous constraints such as genetic potential, productivity, climate change, natural resources, human population growth and meeting nutritional needsas well as, preserving the environment from pollution. Existing climate change in regions around the world (drought, high temperatures, heat) disrupts ecosystem stability and is a significant limiting factor for achieving high crop yields in agricultural production, and for providing sufficient food for the human population and economic stability.Climate change that adversely affects the productivity of plants in agricultural production is associated with the existence of hunger of millions of people in the world. Plant breeding has created genotypes with high potential for yield, quality and resistance to biotic and abiotic stress factors. Adaptations to climate change contribute to reducing the negative effect of climate change on the life cycle of plants, on resistance to diseases and pests, drought, heat shock, frost, and on the production of food with desirable values of nutritional and technological properties.

AB  - The stem height of wheat has impact on grain yield. Variability of height of wheat stem
depends from environment and genetic structure of varieties. The aim of this study was
estimation of impact of genetic components and environmental conditions on variability of
stem height in 10 genetically divergent wheat varieties. The experiment was set up as a
randomised block design in three replications. Obtained results indicated differences in
average values of stem height among tested wheat varieties in each year of experiment. In the
first year of study, the least stem height had Danica variety (44.87 cm) and the highest stem
height had wheat variety Ljubičevka (64.73 cm. In the second year stem height varied
between 64.37 cm in Danica variety and 87.97 cm in Šumadija variety. In average for all
varieties the height of stem was higher in the second year than in the first year of experiment.
Also, in average the value of height of stem was higher in second year than in the first year, in
all analysed wheat varieties. The highest height of stem, expressed Šumadija variety in
average (87.97 cm) in the second year. The least value of stem height (44.87 cm) in average
had Danica variety in the first year of experiment. Based on the results significant differences
between the wheat varieties according to stem height was established and impact of genetic
factors prevailing compare to impact of environmental factors.

AB  - The main goal of plant breeding is to improve quality traits, yield and resistance to abiotic and biotic stress factors. A thousand years ago, people selected the best plants, seeds or fruits to produce seed for new crops and food for human and animal nutrition. Modern plant breeding is based on genetic principles and contributes to  increases in yield  and quality components (contents of protein, amino acids, fat, sucrose, mineral elements etc.). Breeders in conventional breeding programs in the last six decades have made changes to plant phenotypes, significantly improved resistance to diseases, earliness, and frost and drought resistance, and improved scientific farming practices, baking and milling  technologies, and beverage production technology. Through bioinformatics and improved technology, breeders have developed ways to improve and accelerate the breeding process to combine desired traits in new genotypes as well to operate at the level of individual cells and their chromosomes. Nowadays, modern biotechnology is used to improve human nutrition, and develop genotypes with significantly higher yields and quality compared with genotypes created by conventional breeding. By genetic modification it is possible to add, modify or delete a trait without interfering between two complete genomes. However, genetically modified crops can be used after their assessment in terms of human health, food safety and the environment.
AB  - Основни циљ оплемењивања биљака је побољшање особина квалитета, приноса и отпорности на стресне абиотичке и биотичке факторе. Пре хиљаде година људи су бирали најбоље биљке, семе или плод за производњу семена за нове усеве и храну за исхрану људи и животиња. Савремено оплемењивање биљака засновано на генетичким принципима је допринело међусобном повећању приноса и побољшању компонентни квалитета (садржај протеина, аминокиселина, масти, сахарозе, минералних елемената итд.). Оплемењивачи у програмима конвенционалног оплемењивања у последњих шест деценија су остварили промене фенотипова биљака, значајно побољшање отпорности на болести, раностасност, отпорност на мраз и сушу. Такође је остварено побољшање технологије гајења и унапређење примене мера неге и заштите и жетве биљака, побољшање технологије млевења и печења, као и технологије производње пића. Коришћењем биоинформатике и побољшане технологије, оплемењивачи су развили начине за побољшање и убрзавање процеса хибридизације, комбинујући особине које су пожељне да имају новостворени генотипови, као и спровођење инжењеринга на нивоу појединачних ћелија и њихових хромозома. Данас се модерна биотехнологија користи за побољшање исхране људи и за развој генотипова са знатно већим приносом и квалитетом у поређењу са генотиповима створеним у конвенционалном оплемењивању. Генетичком модификацијом могуће је додати, изменити или избрисати (елиминисати) особину без нарушавања два комплетна генома. Међутим, генетички модификовани усеви могу се користити након процене њихове безбедности за здравље људи, оцене безбедности хране и животне средине.

Effect of cereals + pea intercropping on spike index of spring wheat, triticale, oat and pods index of pea

AB  - Advantages or disadvantages of intercropping system can estimate through expression of components of yield on the base of values of productive organs (spike, pod). The aim of this work was study of variation of spike index in cereals species and pods index in pea of spring intercropping. For investigation included spring species of small grains: wheat, triticale, oat and spring legume pea. The investigation was carried out in field condition in experiment with randomised block design of 5m2 plots, with 4 replications. Each species (cereals and pea) were sown sole and in intercrops wheat+pea, triticale+pea and oat+pea. At the maturity stage used 40 plants (10 plants/replication) for determining harvest index of spike in cereal species and index of pea pods on the base of analysis of spike mass and pod mass and seed mass spike-1 and seed mass pod-1 . Seed mass spike-1 of small grains species genotypes variate in ratio of 0.85 g (wheat+pea) and 1.59 g (oat intercrops) with average 1.19 g for all crops of cereals and variant of cultivation. The spike mass variate in range of 1.37 g (triticale intercrop) and 2.23 g (wheat intercrops) with average 1.72 g for all cereals and variant of cultivation. Harvest index of spike variate between 62.5% (triticale sole) and 89.2% (oat sole). The value of spike mass was the higher in wheat intercrops than in wheat sole, while for triticale and oat spike mass is lower in intercrops. In the same of analyzed small grain species, seed mass was the higher in sole crops than in mixture with pea. The spike index, only in intercrop triticale+pea (63.2%) was slightly higher than in single crop of triticale (62.5%). Pod mass and seed mass pod-1 of pea was the higher in pea intercrops than in pea sole. The highest pod mass was in intercrop pea+triticale (0.72 g) and the least in single crop of pea (0.45 g) with average 0.62 g for all crops. The highest seed mass pod-1 was the highest intercrop pea+triticale (0.56g) and the least in monocrop of pea (0.32 g) with average 0.46 g for all crops. Harvest index of pod variate in ratio 68.0% (pea single) and 77.% in pea/triticale intercrop. Pod index of pea in mixture with each small grains species genotypes was higher than in pea's monocrop. On the base of result we can conclude that intercropping cereals + pea, have positive effect on spike and pod characteristics which values were higher in majority of studied intercrops than in monocrops.
AB  - Prednosti i nedostaci združenih useva mogu se oceniti prema ispoljavanja komponenti prinosa na osnovu vrednosti produktivnih organa (klas, mahuna). Cilj ovog rad je izučavanje varijabilnosti žetvenog indeksa klasa pšenice, tritikalea, ovsa i žetvenog indeksa mahune kod graška gajenim u pojedinačnim i združenim usevima. U istraživanja je uključen po jedan genotip jarih formi pšenice, tritikalea, ovsa i graška. Eksperiment je izveden na oglednom polju Rimski šančevi u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo Novi Sad. Genotipovi strnih žita i graška su sejani na parcelicama 5 m2 u 4 ponavljanja u monokulturi i u združenoj setvi pšenica + grašak, tritikale + grašak i ovas+grašak. U vreme fiziološke zrelosti vršena je žetva biljke koje su korišćene za analizu osobina klasa i metlice kod strnih žita i osobina mahune kod graška. Za analize je korišćeno 40 biljaka (10 biljaka po ponavljanju) za svaki genotip iz pojedinačnih i združenih useva. Analizirane su osobine: masa klasa, masa semena po klasu, masa mahune i masa semena po mahuni. Na osnovu vrednosti ovih osobina izračunat je žetveni indeks klasa kod pšenice, tritikalea i ovsa kao i žetveni indeks mahune kod graška. Masa klasa je varirala između 1.37 g kod tritikalea u združenom usevu sa graškom, do 2.23 g kod pšenice u združenom usevu sa graškom, a prosečna masa klasu za sve genotipove u obe varijante gajenja je iznosila 1.72 g. Masa semena po klasu je varirala od 0.85 g kod pšenice u združenom usevu (pšenica+grašak) i u do 1.52 g kod ovsa u združenom usevu sa graškom, a prosečna masa semena po klasu za sve genotipove u obe varijante gajenja je iznosila 1.19 g. Žetveni indeks klasa je bio najmanji 62.5% kod tritikalea u pojedinačnm usevu a najveći kod ovsa 86.5% takodje u monokulturi. Vrednosti mase klasa i mase semena po klasu su bile različite u zavisnosti od vrste strnih žita i načina setve i gajenja useva. Masa klasa kod pšenice u združenom usevu sa graškom je bila veća nego kod pšenice u pojedinačnom usevu. Kod tritikalea i ovsa masa klasa je bila veća u pojedinačnom usevu nego u njihovom združenom usevu sa graškom. Masa semena po klasu kod pšenice, tritikalea i ovsa bila je veća u pojedinačnom usevu nego u njihovom združenom usevu sa graškom. Žetveni indeks klasa u monokulturi: kod pšenice (71.9%) je bio veći nego u združenom usevu pšenica+grašak (70.8%), kod tritikalea (65.3%) je bio veći nego u združenom usevu (tritikale+grašak) i kod ovsa (89.2%) je bio veći nego u združenom usevu sa graškom (88.1%). Kod graška, masa semena po mahuni je varirala od 0.33 g u pojedinačnom usevu do 0.57 g u združenoj setvi sa tritikaleom, a prosečna masa semena po mahuni u oba sistema gajenja bila 0.46 g. Masa mahune je bila najmanja kod graška u pojedinačnom usevu 0.45g a najveća 0.72 g u združenom usevu sa tritikaleom, a prosečna vrednost mahune u svim varijantama gajenja je iznosila 0.59 g. Žetveni indeks mahune je varirao između 72.9% u pojedinačnom usevu graška i 79.4% u usevu združene setve graška i ovsa. Vrednosti za masu mahune, masu semena po mahuni i žetveni indeks mahune su bile veće u združenim usevima graška sa pšenicom, tritikaleom i ovsom ali nizi bile značajno različite. Dobijeni rezultata, ukazuju da združena setva graška i strnih žita ima pozitivan efekat na ispoljavanje većih vrednosti osobina klasa i osobina mahune.

AB  - Creation of transgenic organisms should be endeavored necessary amount of food for the elimination of mankind hunger, increase yield and quality, resistance to diseases and pests, tolerance to high and low temperature properties and improvement of transportation and storage. Transgenic organisms are characterized by a higher content of protein, oil, and starch specific structure. Their use in the diet can have different effects on human health from uncontrolled use. Due to the relatively short period since the creation of transgenic organisms and for greater security man and the ecosystem of their production and trade is within the legal regulations and legislation.
AB  - Čovek je tokom svog istorijskog razvoja do danas bio, između ostalog, kreativno biće u interakciji sa spoljašnjom sredinom. Birao je najbolje vrste, najbolje plodove, najbolja staništa i u tom ambijentu je proizvodio i kreirao bolje od postojećeg pa i u živom svetu. Transgeni oganizmi su kreirani u cilju povećanja prinosa, kvaliteta i adaptivnosti a time i obezbeđenje hrane za ljudsku populaciju koja se brojno umnožava. Za neke transgene organizme je ustanovljeno negativno delovanje na druge organizme i ekosistem. Tako su se u oblasti biotehnologije postigli vrhunski rezultati koji ne ostavljaju ravnodušnim pojedince, grupe i udruženja u naučnoj, stručnoj i široj javnosti kod nas i u svetu.

Inheritance of Stem Height and Second-Internode Length in Barley Hybrids

AB  - Stem height and second (basal) internode are highly important components of lodging resistance in barley. A diallel crossing of five divergent barley genotypes (KG-1/90, NS-293, Jagodinac, KG-15 and KG10/90) was carried out in order to examine the modes of inheritance of stem height and second-internode length. The dominance of a parent with a higher stem was the prevailing mode of stem height inheritance in most of the combinations in F1 and F2 generations, the degree of dominance ranging from partial to superdominance. Partial dominance mostly occurred in the inheritance of second-internode length in most crossing combinations. An analysis of genetic variance components showed that the dominant gene effect was the most contributing factor to the inheritance of stem height. Additive effect genes prevailed in the inheritance of second-internode length in the F1 generation. Both additive and dominant gene effects played an important role in the F2 generation.
AB  - Visina stabla i dužina druge (bazalne) internodije su veoma značajne komponente otpornosti ječma prema poleganju. U cilju proučavanja načina nasleđivanja visine stabla i dužine druge internodije izvršeno je dialelno  ukrštenje pet divergentnih genotipova ječma (KG-1/90, NS-293, Jagodinac, KG-15, KG10/90). U nasleđivanju visine stabla kod većine kombinacija u F1 i F2 generaciji je preovladavala dominacija roditelja veće visine stabla, gde je stepen dominacije varirao od parcijalne do superdominacije. U nasleđivanju dužine druge internodije kod najvećeg broja kombinacija je uglavnom bio ispoljen parcijalno dominantni način nasleđivanja. Komponente genetičke varijanse i prosečan stepen dominacije u F1 i F2 generaciji  su ukazali da je nasleđivanju visine stabla preovladavao dominantni efekat gena. U nasleđivanju dužine druge internodije u F1 generaciji su preovladavali geni sa aditivnim  efektom, dok su u F2 pored njih značajni  i dominantni efekati gena.

A diallel crossing of five divergent barley genotypes (KG-1/90, NS-293, Jagodinac, KG-15 and KG10/90) was carried out in order to examine the modes of inheritance of stem height and second-internode length. The dominance of a parent with a higher stem was the prevailing mode of stem height inheritance in most of the combinations in F1 and F2 generations, the degree of dominance ranging from partial to superdominance. Partial dominance mostly occurred in the inheritance of second-internode length in most crossing combinations. An analysis of genetic variance components showed that the dominant gene effect was the most contributing factor to the inheritance of stem height. Additive effect genes prevailed in the inheritance of second-internode length in the F1 generation. Both additive and dominant gene effects played an important role in the F2 generation., Visina stabla i dužina druge (bazalne) internodije su veoma značajne komponente otpornosti ječma prema poleganju. U cilju proučavanja načina nasleđivanja visine stabla i dužine druge internodije izvršeno je dialelno  ukrštenje pet divergentnih genotipova ječma (KG-1/90, NS-293, Jagodinac, KG-15, KG10/90). U nasleđivanju visine stabla kod većine kombinacija u F1 i F2 generaciji je preovladavala dominacija roditelja veće visine stabla, gde je stepen dominacije varirao od parcijalne do superdominacije. U nasleđivanju dužine druge internodije kod najvećeg broja kombinacija je uglavnom bio ispoljen parcijalno dominantni način nasleđivanja. Komponente genetičke varijanse i prosečan stepen dominacije u F1 i F2 generaciji  su ukazali da je nasleđivanju visine stabla preovladavao dominantni efekat gena. U nasleđivanju dužine druge internodije u F1 generaciji su preovladavali geni sa aditivnim  efektom, dok su u F2 pored njih značajni  i dominantni efekati gena.",

AB  - A comparative study on the grain yield and yield components of six
winter barley cultivars and lines was conducted at an experimental farm of the Small
Grains Research Centre in Kragujevac over a three-year period. The analysis included
stem height, spike number per m2, kernel number per spike and grain yield.
The smallest and greatest plant heights were found with the K-10-85 line and cv. NS-
293, respectively, regardless of the year of observation. A considerably lower stem height, as
compared to the standard cultivar, was observed in genotypes NS-331, K-10-85 and ZA-88.
Plant height and grain yield were substantially affected by environmental
conditions during the observation period. These traits were also considerably affected by
the genotype-year interaction.
Spike number per m2 and kernel number per spike were significantly affected by
year, the differences between the cultivars and lines observed in this study were not
significant, and moreover, no important effects of the genotype-year interaction were
registered. There were significant differences in grain yield between the genotypes
studied, the highest and lowest being obtained by K-10-85 and KG-8/4, respectively.
AB  - U trogodišnjem periodu obavljena su uporedna sortna ispitivanja komponenti
prinosa i prinosa zrna šest ozimih sorti i linija jecma na imanju Centra za strna
žita u Kragujevcu. Analizirana je visina stabla, broj klasova po m2, broj zrna po klasu
i prinos zrna.
Bez obzira na godinu ispitivanja najmanju visinu biljke imala je linija K-10-
85, a najvecu sorta NS-293. Znacajno nižu visinu stabla u odnosu na sortu standard
imali su genotipovi NS-331, K-10-85 i ZA-88.
Uslovi uspevanja u posmatranim godinama imali su znacajan uticaj na visinu
biljke i visinu prinosa. Za data svojstva javio se i znacajan interakcijski efekat
izmedu genotipa i godine.
Na broj klasova po m2 i broj zrna po klasu znacajno je uticala godina, a
razlike izmedu sorti i linija nisu znacajne i nije bilo znacajnih efelkata u interakciji
genotip-godina. Genotipovi su se znacajno razlikovali u visini prinosa, tako da je
najveci prinos imala linija K-10-85, a najmanji KG-8/4.

AB  - Variability of amino acids composition
of 6 barley and 6 wheat divergent genotypes were
identified by using method of chromatography.
Concentration of identified amino acids was
established by method of spectrophotometry. Total
concentration of free amino acids was determined
by standard curved line for tyrosine while
concentration for each amino acid was determined
by using of standard curved line for glycine.
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of amino
acids showed that glutamic acid, proline,
threonine, norvaline, tryptophan, were the most
present in seeds of analyzed cereal species
cultivars. Quantity of free amino acid in wheat
varies in the ratio from 35 to 92 mg/ml and in
barley from 41 to 81 mg/ml. Concentration of
glutamic acid in wheat was 6.5 mg/ml and was
higher than contents of other amino acids. In
barley cultivars the highest concentration was
established for amino acids proline (12.5 mg/ml)
AB  - Varijabilnost sadržaja aminokiselina kod
6 sorti ječma i 6 divergentnih genotipova pšenice je
identifikovana korišćenjem metode hromatogragije.
Koncentracija amino kiselina je ustanovljena
metodom spektrofotometrije. Ukupna koncentracija
slobodnih aminokiselina je odredjivana pomoću
standardne krive linije za tirozin, dok je
koncentracija pojedinih aminokiselina odredjivana
korišćenjemstandardne krive linije za glicin.
Kvalitativna i kvantitativna anliza aminokiselina je
pokazala da su u semenu ječma i pšenice od
slobodnih aminokiselina najzastupljenije:
glutaminska kiselina, prolin, treonin, norvalin,
triptofan. Kvantitet aminokiselina kod pšenice
varira u rasponu od 35-92 mg/ml a kod ispitivanih
sorti ječma od 41 do 81 mg/ml. Koncentracija
glutaminske kiseline kod pšenice bila je najveća 6.5
mg/ml u poredjenju sa drugim aminokiselinama.
Kod sorti ječma najveća koncetracija je
ustanovljena za aminokiselinu prolin (12.5 mg/ml).

AB  - In diallel cross excluding reciprocals of four divergent wheat cultivars (Ana Morava, Gruža, Beograđanka and Pobeda) was derived F2 hybrids. Those four cultivars and F2 hybrids were investigated to estimate the mode of inheritance, gene effects and combining abilities for number of kernels per spike in wheat plants. By analysis was established different mode of inheritance for number of kernels per spike (intermediate, partial dominance, dominance and overdominance). Analysis of variance of combining abilities indicated significant differences for this trait. Obtained results showed that this trait determined by additive and non-additive gene effects. Significant high value of specific combining ability (SCG) in F2 hybrids indicated preponderance of non-additive gene effect. The highest value of general combining ability (GCA) expressed cultivar Ana Morava while the best specific combination was cross of Ana Morava x Beograđanka for number of kernels per spike.
