AB  - Izražene klimatske promene predstavljaju ograničavajući faktor biljne proizvodnje.
Negativni efekti tih promena dovode do promena u kvalitetu zrna pšenice,
usled čega ne dolazi do ispoljavanja genetskog potencijala sorti. Cilj ovog
istraživanja je da se ispita potencijal i stabilnost kvaliteta zrna genotipova pšenice,
selekcionisanih u Centru za strna žita i razvoj sela Kragujevac. Kao materijal
istraživanja korišćeno je 13 perspektivnih genotipova ozime pšenice stvorenih
u Kragujevcu i jedna standardna sorta, Pobeda. Poljski ogledi su izvedeni u tokom
2013/2014. i 2014/2015. na tri lokaliteta: Centar za strna žita i razvoj sela u
Kragujevcu, Institut za krmno bilje u Kruševcu i Agroinstitut u Somboru. Ogled
je postavlјen po potpuno slučajnom blok sistemu, u tri ponavlјanja sa veličinom
osnovne parcelice od 5 m2. Nakon žetve, analizirani su sedimentaciona vrednost i
sadržaj vlažnog glutena. Prvu eksprimentalnu godinu odlikovala je izuzetno velika
količina padavina na sva tri lokaliteta tokom fenofaze klasanje i nalivanje zrna,
što je negativno uticalo na kvalitet zrna analiziranih genotipova pšenice. Kao najstabilniji
genotipovi za sedimentaciju proteina, sa iznad prosečnim vrednostima,
izdvojili su se KG-52/23 i KG-1/6 (33,89 ml; 34,94 ml) i KG-27/6 za sadržaj vlažnog
glutena (31,36 %). Genotip KG-52/3, koji je imao visoke interakcijske vrednosti,
ostvario je i najveće prosečne vrednosti za obe analizirane osobine kvaliteta zrna.
Interakcije genotipa i spoljne sredine je imala najveće učešće u ukupnoj varijaciji
za sedimentaciju proteina, dok spolјnoj sredini pripada najveći deo sume kvadrata
za sadržaj vlažnog glutena.
AB  - Pronounced climate changes are a limiting factor in plant production. The negative
effects of those changes, lead to changes in the wheat grains quality, as a result
of which the genetic potential of the varieties is not manifested. The goal of this
research was to examine the potential and stability of grain quality of wheat genotypes
selected at the Centre for Small Grains and Rural Development Kragujevac.
As research material, 13 perspective winter wheat genotypes created in Kragujevac
and check variety Pobeda were used. Field trials were conducted during 2013/2014
and 2014/2015 in localities: Centre Kragujevac, Institute for Forage Crops Kruševac
and Agroinstitute Sombor. The experiment was set up according to a completely
random block system, in three replications with a basic plot size of 5 m2. After
the harvest, sedimentation value and wet gluten content were analyzed. The first
experimental year was distinguished by an extremely high amount of precipitation
in all three localities during the ear development and grain feeling phenophases,
which negatively affected the quality of the grains of the wheat genotypes analyzed.
Genotype KG-52/23 stood out as the most stable for protein sedimentation (33.89
ml; 34.94 ml) and KG-27/6 for wet gluten content (31.36 %). Genotype KG-52/3,
which had high interaction values, achieved the highest average values of both
analyzed grain quality traits. Interaction genotype-environment had the largest
part in the total variation for protein sedimentation, while the largest part of the
sum of squares for wet gluten content belongs to the environment.

Prinos zrna ozimih sorti pšenice u različitim agroekološkim uslovima

AB  - Poljski ogled sa sortama pšenice Pobeda, Simonida, NS 40 S i Zvezdana
postavljen je na zemljištu tipa smonica tokom vegetacionih sezona
2016/2017. i 2017/2018. Najveće vrednosti ispitivanih osobina ustanovljene su u godini sa umerenim temperaturama i većom količinom
padavina u vegetacionoj 2017/2018. godini. Sorte Pobeda i NS 40 S imale su najveći prinos zrna tokom dvogodišnjeg istraživanja. Sorte Simonida i NS 40 S odlikovale su se najvećom masom 1000 zrna. Najveće vrednosti
hektolitarske mase ustanovljene su kod sorte Simonida. Analizom
varijanse ustanovljen je visoko značajan uticaj interakcije spoljašnje
sredine i genotipa na masu 1000 zrna i hektolitarsku masu kod ispitivanih sorti ozime pšenice.
AB  - The field experiment with the wheat varieties Pobeda, Simonida, NS 40
S and Zvezdana was set up on the smonica-type soil during the 2016/2017
and 2017/2018 growing seasons. The highest values of the observed
properties were established in the 2017/2018 vegetation year with moderate temperatures and a higher amount of precipitation. Varieties Pobeda and NS 40 S had the highest grain yield during the two-year study.
The varieties Simonida and NS 40 S were distinguished by the largest 1000
grain weight. The highest values of hectoliter weight were found in the
variety Simonida. The analysis of variance established a highly significant
influence of the interaction of external environment and genotype on the 1000 grain weight and the hectoliter mass of the tested varieties of winter
wheat.

Differences in the relationship of the most important traits of bread wheat depending on the different agro-ecological conditions

AB  - ferent  agro-ecological  conditions  have  a  great  influence  on  the phenotypical expression of yield components and grain yield. Besides this, their relationships are changed, too. In extreme wet conditions of the year, with large amounts of precipitations during the most important development stages,  phenotypic  differences  and  the  relationship  between  the  most important yield components and grain yield are less pronounced. Coefficients of variation, correlation analysis, and cluster analysis were used to determine the performances of advanced wheat genotypes under different agro-climatic conditions  of  research  locations.  In  this  research,  the  highest  degree  of variation, i.e. coefficients of variation for spikes mass and grain mass per plant from localities Kragujevac, Kruševac, and Sombor were expressed. Compared with the other two localities, the locality Sombor is distinguished by a strong and positive degree of correlations between yield components and grain yield.
AB  - Različiti agroekološki uslovi, u velikoj meri, utiču na fenotipsku ekspresiju komponenti  rodnosti  i  prinosa  zrna.  Pored  toga,  odnosi  između  njih  se menjaju,  takođe.  U  godini  sa  velikim  količinama  padavina  i  ekstremno vlažnim uslovima tokom najvažnijih faza razvoja, fenotipske razlike i odnosi između najznačajnijih komponenti rodnosti i prinosa zrna su manje izraženi. Koeficijent varijacije, korelaciona analiza i klaster analiza su korišćene u cilju određivanja ponašanja perspektivnih genotipova pšenice u različitim agroklimatskim uslovima ispitivanih lokaliteta. U ovom istraživanju, najviši stepen varijacije, tj. koeficijent varijacije, utvrđen je za masu klasa i masu zrna po biljci na lokalitetima Kragujevac, Kruševac i Sombor. U poređenju sa  ostala  dva  lokaliteta,  lokalitet  Sombor  se  odlikovao  najvećim  brojem pozitivnih i negativnih korelacija između komponenti rodnosti i prinosa zrna

AB  - Poljski ogled sa sortama pšenice Takovčanka, Kruna i Aleksandrapostavljen je na zemljištu tipa smonica tokom dve vegetacione sezone.Cilj istraživanja je bio da se kod tri kragujevačke sorte pšenice analiziraprinos, masa 1000 zrna i hektolitarska masa. Najveće vrednostiispitivanih osobina ustanovljene su u vegetacionoj 2019/20. godini.Najveći prinos zrna tokom dvogodišnjeg istraživanja ustanovljen je kodsorte Kruna. Sorta Takovčanka odlikovala se najvećom masom 1000zrna. Najveće vrednosti hektolitarske mase ustanovljene su kod sorteAleksandra, u obe ispitivane godine. Analizom varijanse ustanovljen jevisoko značajan uticaj interakcije agroklimatskih uslova na prinos, masu1000 zrna i hektolitarsku masu i značajan uticaj genotipa na hektolitarskumasu kod ispitivanih sorti ozime pšenice.
AB  - The field experiment with the wheat varieties Takovčanka, Kruna andAleksandra was set up on the smonitza-type soil during the two growing seasons. The aim of the research was to analyse the yield, weight of 1000grains and hectolitre weight of three Kragujevac wheat varieties. Thehighest values of the observed properties were established in the 2019/20vegetation year. Variety Kruna had the highest grain yield during the twoyearstudy. The Takovčanka variety was characterized by the highestweight of 1000 grains. The highest values of hectolitre weight were foundin the Aleksandra variety in both study years. The analysis of varianceestablished a highly significant influence of agro climatic conditions on theyield, weight of 1000 grains and the hectolitre weight and significantinfluence of genotype on the hectolitre weight of the tested varieties ofwinter wheat.

AB  - Interakcija genotipa i spoljašnje sredine (GEI) je kompleksan problem koji
komplikuje proces selekcije i oplemenjivanja ratarskih kultura te je stoga važno
utvrditi njenu značajnost i iskoristiti njene pozitivne karakteristike. U radu je analiziran
prinos zrna dvadeset genotipova ozimog dvoredog ječma u šest spoljašnjih
sredina (dve vegetacione sezone na tri lokaliteta). Za analizu interakcije korišćen je
linearni mešoviti model i model glavnih efekata i višestruke interakcije (AMMI) sa
AMMI1 biplot prikazom. Utvrđena je visoka statistička značajnost interakcije dok je
AMMI1 model objasnio 40.1% varijacije interakcije. Stabilnost genotipova određena
je parametrima stabilnosti AMMI modela (AMMI1, AMMI2 i ASV) i utvrđena je
značajna korelacija rangova genotipova između njih. Prinos nije pokazao značajnu
korelaciju ni sa jednim parametrom. Na osnovu Genotip Selekcionog Indeksa
(GSI), genotipovi J-82, J-103, NS-589 i J-176 su izdvojeni kao široko adaptabilni
i superiorni u pogledu prinosa i stabilnosti što je potvrđeno i biplot prikazom.
Genotipovi koji su na osnovu AMMI1 procenjenih vrednosti prinosa preporučeni
za svaki od lokaliteta su najprinosniji NS-525, NS-593, J-176, NS-589, J-103 i J-82.
Razlike u interakcijskom efektu između godina (Zemun Polje i Zaječar) kao i slab
diskriminatorski efekat (Kragujevac) ne izdvajaju ni jedan lokalitet kao pogodnu
test lokaciju. Winner pristupom, sve ispitivane sredine možemo smatrati kao jednu
mega-sredinu što ukazuje da u ogledu dominiraju nepredvidive interakcije što specifične
adaptacije čini manje značajnim. AMMI1 model je pouzdan i informativan u
interpretaciji interakcije i ništa se značajno neće promeniti ako se druga interakcijska
komponenta naknadno uključi. Izdvojene su neke inbred linije ječma što ovaj model
čini pogodnim u selekciji perspektivnih genotipova.
AB  - Genotype by environment interaction (GEI) is a complex problem which complicates
the selection and breeding process of field crops, and therefore it is important
to determine the significance and take advantage of GEI. The paper analyzed the
grain yield of twenty genotypes of winter two-row barley in six environments (two
growing seasons in three localities). A linear mixed model and additive main effects
and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model with AMMI1 biplot display were
used for interaction analysis. High statistical significance GEI was determined and
AMMI1 model was explain 47% of interaction. The stability of the genotypes was
estimated by different AMMI stability parameters (AMMI1, AMMI2 and ASV) and
a significant correlation was established between them. Grain yield and stability were
not related. Genotypes J-82, J-103, NS-589 and J-176 were selected as superior and
wide adaptability using Genotype Selection Index (GSI). They highlight as stable and
high yielding which was agreement with results of biplot analysis. On based AMMI1
estimates of grain yield, the genotypes recommended in each of the localities were the
most yielding NS-525, NS-593, J-176, NS-589, J-103and J-82. The difference in the
interaction effect by year (Zemun Polje and Zaječar) and weak discriminating effect
(Kragujevac) does not sepatare any suitable test location. By winner approach, all the
examined environments can be considered as one mega-environment, which indicates
that unpredictable interactions dominate in this research, due to which specific
adaptations were not of high importance. AMMI1 model is reliable and informative
in the interpretation of the GEI which indicates that essentially nothing happens when
the second interaction axis is subsequently included. Some inbred lines of barley have
stood out, which makes this model suitable for the selection of perspective genotypes.

AB  - U radu je prikazana uporedna efikasnost dva insekticida prirodnog
porekla, Spinosada i Abamektina, koji nisu registrovani za uskladištenu
zrnastu robu, ali su u širokoj upotrebi u organskoj proizvodnji. Efikasnost
ovih insekticida ispitivana je na žitnom kukuljičaru Rhyzopertha
dominica F., kao primarnoj štetočini koja može da infestira sve vrste
uskladištenih strnih žita. Insekticidi Laser 240 SC i Abastate EC
primenjeni su u količini 0,25, 0,5 i 1,0 g a.s. kg-1 žita (pšenica, raž,
tritikale, ječam i ovas). Utvrđena je veća inicijalna efikasnost Spinosada,
čijom primenom nije ustanovljen „efekat zrna“. Povećanjem doze primene
i dužine ekspozicije povećava se efikasnost Abamektina i smanjuje
razlika u efikasnosti između ispitivanih vrsta žita. Deset sedmica posle
tretiranja Spinosadom i Abamektinom nije utvrđena pojava potomstva R.
dominica. Iako imaju različite mehanizme delovanja, rezultati ukazuju na
moguću upotrebu i Spinosada i Abamektina u zaštiti uskladištenog strnog
žita.
AB  - This paper analyzed the comparative effectiveness of two insecticides
of natural origin, Spinosad and Abamectin, which are not registered for
grain storage, but are widely used in organic production. The effectiveness
of these insecticides was tested on the lesser grain borer Rhyzopertha
dominica F. as a primary pest that can infest all types of small
grains. The insecticides Laser 240 SC and Abastate EC were applied in
the amount of 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 g a.s. kg-1 grain (wheat, rye, triticale,
barley and oats). A greater initial efficiency of Spinosad was established,
with the application of which no "grain effect" was recorded. Increasing
the application dose and the length of exposure of R. dominica increases
the effectiveness of Abamectin, and reduces the difference in the effectiveness
to the tested types of grain. Ten weeks after exposure to Spinosad
and Abamectin the research did not determine the presence of R.
dominica offspring. Although they have different mechanisms of action,
the results indicate the possible use of Spinosad and Abamectin in the
protection of stored small grains.

AB  - Paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) kao komercijalna vrsta gaji se širom sveta.
Godišnja proizvodnja paprike dostigla je oko 3.9 miliona tona. Površine pod zasadima
paprike u Srbiji procenjene su na 10.278 ha u 2021. godini, dok je ukupna
proizvodnja iznosila 147.663 tone. U ovoj studiji vršeno je ispitivanje semena dva
genotipa paprike dobijenih sa lokacija Kula i Smederevska Palanka. Ispitivanje je
vršeno standardnim metodama za procenu klijavosti i zdravstvene ispravnosti
semena. Kvalitet semena paprike procenjen je na osnovu parametara klijanja, vlage
i zdravstvene ispravnosti semena za sezonu 2022 godine. Energija klijanja iznosila
je 75% (Strižanka) i 85% (Župska rana) za lokalitet Smederevska Palanka, dok je
za Kulu iznosila 65% (Strižanka) i 55% (Župska rana) (p<0.05). Ukupna klijavost
iznosila je 88% (Strižanka) i 90% (Župska Rana) za lokalitet u Smederevska Palanka,
dok je u Kuli iznosila 80% (Strižanka) i 70% (Župska Rana). Sadržaj vlage dostigao
je 11.5% i 11% za Strižanku i Župsku ranu, respektivno (p>0.05) sa lokaliteta u
Smederevskoj Palanci. U uzorcima dobijenih sa lokaliteta u Kuli sadržaj vlage je
iznosio 12.5% za Strižanku i 9.5% za Župsku ranu (p<0.05). Zdravstvena ispravnost
semena testirana je na Alternaria spp. i Fusarium spp. Procenat infekcije za
Strižanku i Župsku Ranu iznosio je 1% (Smederevska Palanka) (p>0.05), dok je u
Kuli iznosio 3% za Strižanku i 5% za Župsku Ranu (p<0.05). Dobijeni podaci za
parametre kvaliteta ukazuju na značajnu razliku između lokaliteta Smederevska
Palanka i Kula. Buduća istraživanja će biti vezana za analizu zemljista i ukupni
prinos po parceli na lokacijama Smederevska Palanka i Kula.
AB  - Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) as a commercial species is cultivated worldwide.
The annual production of pepper has reached approximately 3.9 million tons.
The area under pepper plants in Serbia were assessed at 10.278 ha in 2021, and
overall production at 147.663 tons. Seed testing of two genotypes of pepper from
two localities (Kula and Smederevska Palanka) was performed using standard
methods for assessing seed quality and health, based on germination parameters,
moisture and seed health obtained during 2022 season. Germination energy was
75% and 85% for Strizanka and Zupska Rana, in Smederevska Palanka, respectively.
In Kula, germination energy was statistically significantly lower and accounted
for 65% and 55% for Strizanka and Zupska Rana (p<0.05). Total germination for
Strizanka and Zupska rana was 88% and 90% in Smederevska Palanka, while at
Kula location it was 80% and 70%. The moisture content was 11.5% and 11% for

Stability of grain yield performance of winter wheat genotypes

AB  - Bread wheat is one of the most represented field crops whose level and stability of yield is very
important for the food security in Republic Serbia. In the paper was investigated stability of yield
expression of 15 winter bread wheat genotypes in different agroecological conditions of Serbia,
using the Additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model and GGE-biplot
method of analysis. Aim of investigation was to determine which of applied analysis is superior
in identification of the most desirable genotypes for cultivation in given environments. Analysis
of variance showed that genotype and genotype-environment (G×E) interaction represent highly
significant sources of variability in expression of grain yield. AMMI and GGE analyses were point
out similar results and an indisputable conclusion is that multienvironment trials, besides routine
usage of analysis of variance, must be analized with one of this two models, which combine
analysis of variance and PCA analysis. AMMI analysis is simpler for interpretation and closer to
the concept of view of the agronomical trial, while GGE analysis is more complex and gives more
precise interpretation of “which-won-where“, i.e. for defining of narrowly adapted genotypes in
given environments. Thus, G11 as the genotype with highest average yield is narrow adapted to
the environment Sombor and can be recommended, as well as in the environment 2 (Kruševac),
while genotypes with modest requests (G2) rather can be recommended for cultivation in the
environment 1 (Kragujevac), which is characterized by less fertile soil and a smaller amount and
uneven distribution of precipitation.
AB  - Hlebna pšenica je jedna od najzastupljenijih ratarskih vrsta, čiji je nivo i stabilnost prinosa
veoma važan za prehrambenu sigurnost Republike Srbije. U radu je ispitivana stabilnost ekspresije
prinosa zrna 15 genotipova ozime hlebne pšenice u različitim agroekološkim uslovima Srbije,
korišćenjem AMMI modela i GGE-biplot analize. Cilj je bio da se utvrdi koja od primenjenih
analiza je superiornija u identifikaciji najpoželjnijih genotipova za gajenje u datim sredinama.
Analiza varijanse je pokazala da genotip i interakcija genotip-sredina (G×E) predstavljaju veoma
značajan izvor varijabilnosti pri ekspresiji prinosa zrna. AMMI i GGE analize su dale slične rezultate,
pa je nesporan zaključak da je neophodno višelokacijske oglede, pored analizom varijanse

Genetski potencijal ozime pšenice na zemljištu tipa smonice

AB  - Poljski ogled sa sortama pšenice Pobeda, NS Vlajna i NS Azra
postavljen je na zemljištu tipa smonica tokom vegetacionih sezona
2016/17. i 2017/18. godine. Cilj istraživanja je bio da se kod tri
novosadske sorte pšenice gajene na slabo kiselom zemljištu analizira
prinos, masa 1000 zrna i hektolitarska masa zrna. Najveće vrednosti
ispitivanih osobina ustanovljene su u godini sa umerenim temperaturama
i većom količinom padavina u vegetacionoj 2017/18. godini. Sorta
Pobeda imala je najveći prinos zrna tokom dvogodišnjeg istraživanja.
Najvećom masom 1000 zrna i hektolitarskom masom odlikovala se sorta
NS Vlajna. Analizom varijanse ustanovljen je visoko značajan uticaj agroklimatskih uslova na hektolitarsku masu i visoko značajan uticaj
genotipa na masu 1000 zrna i hektolitarsku masu kod ispitivanih sorti
ozime pšenice.
AB  - The field experiment with the wheat varieties Pobeda, NS Vlajna and
NS Azra was set up on the smonica-type soil during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 growing seasons. The goal of the research was to analyze the
yield, mass of 1000 grains and hectoliter mass of three wheat varieties of
Novi Sad grown on slightly acidic soil. The highest values of the tested
properties were established in the year with moderate temperatures and a
higher amount of precipitation in the 2017/18 vegetation year. The
Pobeda variety had the highest grain yield during the two-year study. The
NS Vlajna variety was distinguished by the largest mass of 1000 grains
and hectoliter mass. Analysis of variance established a highly significant
influence of agroclimatic conditions on the hectoliter mass and a highly
significant influence of the genotype on the mass of 1000 grains and
hectoliter mass of the tested winter wheat varieties.

yield, mass of 1000 grains and hectoliter mass of three wheat varieties of
Novi Sad grown on slightly acidic soil. The highest values of the tested
properties were established in the year with moderate temperatures and a
higher amount of precipitation in the 2017/18 vegetation year. The
Pobeda variety had the highest grain yield during the two-year study. The
NS Vlajna variety was distinguished by the largest mass of 1000 grains
and hectoliter mass. Analysis of variance established a highly significant
influence of agroclimatic conditions on the hectoliter mass and a highly
significant influence of the genotype on the mass of 1000 grains and
hectoliter mass of the tested winter wheat varieties.",

AB  - Srednje rana sorta ozimog heksaploidnog tritikalea, odličnog produktivnog bokorenja,
prosečne visine oko 110 cm i vrlo dobre otpornosti prema poleganju. Ima veoma visoku
otpornost prema niskim temperaturama i suši, odličnu otpornost prema pepelnici i lisnoj rđi i
vrlo dobru otpornost prema stabljičnoj rđi. Tolerantna je prema napadu leme i drugih štetnih
insekata. Ima srednje krupno i dobro naliveno zrno čija masa varira od 35-40 g/1000 zrna. Zrno
ove sorte je srednje bogato proteinima koji variraju u granicama od 13,5 do 15%. Veoma je
rodna sorta stabilnih prinosa, dok njeni maksimalni prinosi dostižu i do 11 t/ha. Ima dobru
tolerantnost prema kiselim, peskovitim i zemljištima slabije plodnosti a može se uspešno gajiti i
na većim nadmorskim visinama. Veoma je pogodna za ishranu stoke (za zrno ili zelenu masu) ali
se njeno brašno može koristiti i za proizvodnju specijalnih vrsta hleba raženog tipa. Optimalne
rezultate kod nas postiže u setvi do polovine oktobra, setvenom normom 550-600 klijavih
zrna/m 2 , tj. od 220 do 250 kg/ha semena, na plodnim i srednje plodnim zemljištima uz ishranu
koja je uobičajena za intenzivne sorte ozimog tritikalea (100-140 kg/ha azota predsetveno i u
prihrani, uz adekvatne količine fosfora i kalijuma). Veoma je konkurentna u odnosu na korove i
pogodna za organsku proizvodnju.

AB  - In the two-year field experiment (2013/2014 and 2014/2015), the variability of yield and
hectoliter grain mass of 14 winter wheat genotypes was examined. The research was
conducted in three locations across the Republic of Serbia: Centre for Small Grains in
Kragujevac, Institute for forage crops in Kruševac and Agroinstitute in Sombor. Significant
differences in grain yield were found between varieties, locations, years and their
interactions, while the influence of the location did not show significant differences in
hectoliter mass. Grain yield of studied wheat genotypes in 2013/2014 varied from 3.91 t ha-1
(KG-244/4) to 5.55 t ha-1 (KG-60-3/3), and in 2014/2015 from 5.67 t ha-1 (KG-162/7) to 7.08
t ha-1 (KG-27/6). The hectoliter mass also varied, and most often ranged from 72.1 kg hl-1
(KG-28/6) to 77.2 kg hl-1 (KG-191/5-13) in the first experimental year and from 76.7 kg hl-1
(KG-27/6) to 81.9 kg hl-1 (KG-191/5-13) in the second year. Unfavorable weather conditions
which prevailed in the first experimental year, conditioned the formation of smaller and
shriveled grains. As a result, the examined KG-wheat genotypes gave lower values in grain
yield and hectoliter mass in 2013/2014 compared to 2014/2015. In this study, higher values
of heritability in a broad sense were obtained for hectoliter mass (73.66%), and lower values
for grain yield (25.82%). This indicates that direct breeding for grain yield is less efficient
and it is necessary to have knowledge about the nature of the inheritance of important yield
components in order to improve this complex trait.

AB  - This study aimed to evaluate insecticidal activity of Spinosad applied at doses of 0.25, 0.5,
and 1.0 mg kg-1 (ppm) on Rhyzopertha dominica in wheat, barley, rye, oats and triticale grains.
Mortality was assessed after 7 and 14 days, while impact on progeny production was assessed
after 8 weeks. In the lowest dosage after 7 days of exposure, Spinosad application affected
mortality ranged from 94.5% (wheat) to 100% (barley). After 14 days, all doses of Spinosad
achieved mortality of 100%. All three applied dosages of Spinosad prevented progeny emergence.
Damaged grain and dust in Spinosad treated samples were not recorded which represent
the most ideal small grain protection. Spinosad has been identified as a natural and promising
alternative to stored-grain protectants.
AB  - Истраживање је спроведено у циљу оцене инсектицидне активности Спиносада, при-
мењеног у дозама од 0,25, 0,5, и 1,0 мг кг-1 (ппм) на Рхyзопертха доминица у зрну
пшенице, јечма, ражи, овса и тритикалеа. Смртност је процењена након 7 и 14 дана, док
је утицај на стварање потомства оцењен након 8 недеља. При најнижој дози након 7 дана
излагања, примена Спиносада је изазвала смртност од 94.5% (пшеница) до 100% (јечам).
Након 14 дана, све дозе Спиносада оствариле су смртност од 100%. Све три примењене
дозе Спиносада спречиле су појаву потомства. У узорцима третираним Спиносадом није
забележена појава оштећених зрна и прашине што представља савршену заштиту зрна
стрних жита. За Спиносад је утврђено да представља природну и одговарајућу алтерна-
тиву синтетичким инсектицидима стрних жита.

AB  - Carrot (Daucus carota L.) is one of the most important root vegetables in the Apiaceae family
grown around the world. Production of carrots in Serbia is generated in Vojvodina with the
highest yields 27.4 t/ha, while other regions generate lower yields. Current studies on carrots

(p<0.05%). It has been noticed that the infection of Alternaria spp. and Fusarium spp. was the
lowest in 2019 and increased in 2020 and 2021 (4% and 5%, p<0.05), respectively. The results
may indicate an association between the percentage of phytopathogens present and germination.
In conclusion, pathogen-free seeds are necessary to create a healthy plant population, better
germination and higher yields.

AB  - Laboratory bioassays (temperature 26 ± 1 °C and 60 ± 5% r. h.) were performed to evaluate the insecticidal effect of three different diatomaceous earths (DE) against Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) in wheat, triticale and rye. In order to achieve this, the amount of damaged kernels, amount of debris, wet gluten content, gluten index and rheological properties were assessed in infested samples, infested samples treated with DE Protect-It and two DEs originating from Serbia (S-1 and S-2) and were compared to control (uninfested) samples using Chopin Mixolab. The most susceptible to beetle infestation were rye sample and wheat variety Planeta. The lowest weight of damaged grain was found after applying DE Protect-It to all grain types. The amount of damaged kernels, the amount of debris and loss of mass were the highestin sample treated with DE S-2. While infestation resulted in increase in the amount of damaged kernels and debris and decrease in wet gluten content, and provoked weakening of gluten network structure as well as starch damage, an addition of DE, especially Protect-It, resulted in grain samples of similar technological quality to control (uninfested) sample. The susceptibility of different cereals used in breadmaking to infestation by R. dominica, as well as their response to the insecticidal effect of diatomaceous earth largely varied. Both cereal type and quality, as measured by wet gluten content and gluten index, influenced grain response to infestation. Insecticidal effect of diatomaceous earth, especially DE S-1and DE S-2, was the least effective in terms of triticale. These findings suggest that the application of DE in cereals storage management might largely be affected with grain type as well as grain composition and technological quality.

сорти озиме хлебне пшенице за ову особину. При наслеђивању
продуктивног бокорења, у највећем броју комбинација испољена је
супердоминација бољег родитеља (БР). Све три компоненте
варијансе комбинационих способности показале су високо значајне
разлике, при чему је највећи удео имала варијанса посебних
комбинационих способности, из чега произилази важна улога
доминантног деловања гена при наслеђивању продуктивног
бокорења у F1 генерацији.
AB  - The paper investigates the inheritance of productive tillering in wheat
hybrids, as well as the combining abilities of five domestic varieties of
winter bread wheat for the examined trait. The superdominance of the
better parent (BP) is manifested in the largest number of combinations аs
the mode of the inheritance of productive tillering. All three components
of the variance of combining abilities showed highly significant
differences, with the largest part of the variance for specific combining abilities, which results in the important role of the dominant action of
genes in the inheritance of this trait in the F1 generation.

AB  - The objectives of this study were to investigate: (1) the effects of fertilization, environment, and their interactions on the thousand grain weight (TGW), hectolitre weight (HW) and grain yield (GY) of winter triticale, and (2) the correlations between these traits in different environments. The invariable nitrogen (80 kg N ha(-1)), potassium (60 kg K2O ha(-1)) and two phosphorus (60 and 100 kg P(2)O(5)ha(-1)) doses were used in Kragujevac location in central Serbia. Nitrogen was applied individually and in combination with two phosphorus rates and one rate of potassium fertilizer. Eight fertilization treatment controls and N-80, P-60, P-100, N80P60K60, N80P100K60, N(80)P(60)and N(80)P(100)were examined during three growing seasons. The yield and quality of triticale significantly varied across years and treatments. The average yield of all treatments in the 2015 growing season was significantly greater than in the previous years (3.597 t ha(-1)). Combined usage of NPK fertilizer (80 kg N ha(-1), 100 kg P(2)O(5)ha(-1)and 60 kg K2O ha(-1)) represented the excellent base for optimum supply of major nutrients, resulting in maximum GY (4.0 t ha(-1)). Negative and significant correlation was found between grain GY and TGW (-0.392*) in 2015, and positive highly significant correlation were in 2013 (0.648*) and 2014 (0.493*). The positive effect over complete application of fertilizer is the result of a lower pH value of the soil, as well as the low content of available phosphorus and potassium in Vertisol soil type. Optimizing fertilization for maximum profitability is of great importance in the future triticale production in Pannonian Environments.

AB  - Background: Modern methods of stored wheat grain protection from insect pests strive towards optimizing the
use of different techniques and methods within integrated pest management (IPM) programs. One of the methods
of integral grain protection is the application of natural originating insecticides.
Main body: The potential of the natural origin synthetic insecticide abamectin (a product of soil bacteria,
Streptomyces avermitilis fermentation) on the grain borer, Rhyzopertha dominica F. (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae), in
stored wheat, barley, ray, oats, and triticale was evaluated. The evaluation was conducted in 3 rates. The effects of
its application on the infestation of R. dominica on certain physical and chemical traits of cereal grains were
examined. The efficacy of abamectin after 7 days of exposure, in all applied dosages, was low (< 56.5% in wheat
and < 30.5% in other grains). Abamectin efficacy was significantly increased after 14 days of exposure. R. dominica
mortality was 99.0 and 100% after 21-day exposure at the abamectin rates of 0.5 and 1.0 mg kg−1, respectively. Ten
weeks after grain treatment, the 3 examined rates prevented the emergence of progeny. The amount of the
damaged grains and dockage, as a nus-product of feeding of R. dominica larvae and imago, compared to the
untreated, infested sample was significantly smaller, which represents a positive aspect of abamectin application.
The application did not change significantly the moisture, protein, and ash contents, in comparison to the control.
Conclusion: Positive aspects of the abamectin application on different grain species (wheat, barley, rye, oats, and
triticale) caused the highest rates of R. dominica mortality after 21 days of exposure where a total prevention of
progeny emergence and absence of changes on technological grain properties occurred.

weeks after grain treatment, the 3 examined rates prevented the emergence of progeny. The amount of the
damaged grains and dockage, as a nus-product of feeding of R. dominica larvae and imago, compared to the
untreated, infested sample was significantly smaller, which represents a positive aspect of abamectin application.
The application did not change significantly the moisture, protein, and ash contents, in comparison to the control.
Conclusion: Positive aspects of the abamectin application on different grain species (wheat, barley, rye, oats, and
triticale) caused the highest rates of R. dominica mortality after 21 days of exposure where a total prevention of
progeny emergence and absence of changes on technological grain properties occurred.",

AB  - Poljski ogled sa sortama Rekord, Maksa i Grand postavljen je na
zemljištu tipa vertisol tokom vegetacionih sezona 2006-2010 godine. Cilj
istraživanja je bio da se kod tri sorte ozimog ječma gajenih na kiselom zemljištu
analizira prinos zrna. Najveće vrednosti prinosa zrna ustanovljene su u
vegetacionoj 2007/08 godini (5.788 t ha-1). Prosečan petogodišnji prinos zrna kod
ispitivanih sorti kretao se od 4.654 t ha-1 do 5.207 t ha-1. Sorta Maksa imala je
najveći prinos zrna. Na osnovu analize varijanse, može se zaključiti da postoje vrlo
značajne razlike u prinosu zrna u odnosu na godinu ispitivanja.
AB  - Field trial with barley varieties Rekord, Maksa and Grand was set on vertisoltype
soil during the vegetation seasons 2006-2010. The aim of the research was to
analyse the grain yield in three varieties of barley cultivated on acid soil. The
highest values of grain yield were established in the vegetation year 2007/08
(5.788 t ha-1). The average of five-year grain yield of barley cultivars ranged from
4.654 t ha-1 to 5.207 t ha-1. The Maksa cultivar had the highest yield of grain. Based
on the analysis of variance, it can be concluded that there are very significant
differences in grain yield regard the year of investigation, while among the
investigated barley cultivars the differences were very significant.

AB  - In these studies, 14 winter wheat (Triticum aestivum ssp vulgare L.) genotypes were analyzed in three localities across the Republic of Serbia. Some morphological and the most important productive traits were analysed in order to determine the relationship between grain yield and these traits in the year with extreme wet conditions during period of intensive wheat development (April-June period). According to our results, period of stem extension, heading and grain filling characterized by lower air temperatures and extremely high rainfall at all three localities, had detrimental effects on the grain filling process. The genotypes KG-191/5-13 and KG-1/6 achieved above average values of the most desirable traits in all three localities, and can be singled out as desirable parents in breeding programs to create new and improved varieties of wheat. Based on the principal component analysis and cluster analysis, two groups of similar genotypes were distinguished. The highest degree of positive correlation was found between diameter of the first internode and diameter of top internode; number of spikelets per spike and number of fertile spikelets per spike; grain mass/spike and grain mass/plant; plant height and length of the top internode.

AB  - This research involved analyses of six genotypes of the winter bread wheat (Toplica,
Takovčanka, Perfekta, Vizija, KG-56S, and Aleksandra) on the experimental field of Centre
for Small Grains in Kragujevac during two growing seasons (2011/2012 and 2012/2013). The
most important parameters of bread-making quality were analysed (wet gluten content and
rheological flour and dough properties). Grain samples were milled using a Brabender
Quadrumat Junior laboratory mill. The gluten content was determined by the standard method
and rheological flour and dough properties by Brabender Farinograph. Wet gluten content of
analyzed wheat genotypes varied depending on the genotype and the year. The cultivar
Aleksandra had the highest value of wet gluten content in both years of investigation (35.48%
and 39.03%). The analyses of variance showed highly significant differences of wet gluten
content between cultivars, investigated years as well as their interaction. The lowest water
absorption in the first year of study was found in Takovčanka cultivar (59.2%), while in the
second year in KG-56S (63.8%). The cultivar Vizija showed the highest water absorption in
both years of studying (62.13% and 67.3%). According to the analysis of variance, highly
significant differences for the water absorption were determined between genotypes,
examined years and their interaction. Farinograph properties showed that flour of analyzed
cultivars belonged to B1 and C1 quality groups in the first year, and B1 and B2 in the second
year. The analysis of phenotypic variance indicated that the highest impact of variance for wet
gluten content belonged to year, while for water absorption belonged to cultivar × year
interaction.

AB  - Tests were carried out on stationary field trial, soil type vertisol in the
process of degradation, characterized by low pH (pH<5.0). The dose of
nitrogen was 80 kg/ha N, which was administered in combination with
phosphorous and potassium fertilizer. The average grain yield and 1000
grain weight of all treatments in 2010/11 growing season was significantly
greater than in 2009/10, mostly as the result of highly favourable weather
conditions at major stages of plant development. The yield, thousand grain
weight and test weight of barley significantly varied across years and
treatments. Barley yield was the highest in the NP1K and NP2K (4.171 and
4.318 t/ha) treatments. Variance analysis showed statistically very
significant differences for grain yield and test weight between the vegetation
seasons and very significant differences for grain yield and 1000 grain
weight between the effects of fertilization. Variance analysis showed
significant differences for yield between the interaction of the vegetation
seasons and variants of fertilization.

AB  - Poljski ogled sa sortama pšenice Takovčanka, Planeta, Kruna, Toplica
i Vizija postavljen je na zemljištu tipa vertisol tokom vegetacionih sezona 2005/06-
2011/12 godine. Cilj istraţivanja je bio da se kod pet sorti pšenice gajenih na
kiselom zemljištu analizira prinos zrna. Najveće vrednosti prinosa zrna
ustanovljene su u godini sa umerenim temperaturama i velikom količinom
padavina u vegetacionoj 2007/08 godini. Prosečan prinos zrna sorti pšenice kretao
se od 3.743 t ha-1 do 6.275 t ha-1. Sorte Kruna, Planeta i Vizija imale su najveći
prinos zrna. Na osnovu analize varijanse, moţe se zaključiti da postoje vrlo
značajne razlike u prinosu zrna u odnosu na godinu ispitivanja, dok između
istraţivanih sorti pšenice razlike nisu bile signifikantne.

and Vizija was set on vertisol-type soil during the vegetation seasons 2005/06-
2011/12. The aim of the research was to analyse the grain yield in five varieties of
wheat cultivated on acid soil. The highest values of grain yield were established in
the year with moderate temperatures and high precipitation in the vegetation year
2007/08. Average grain yield of wheat cultivars ranged from 3.743 t ha-1 to 6.275 t
ha-1. The Kruna, Planeta and Vizija varieties had the highest yield of grain. Based
on the analysis of variance, it can be concluded that there are very significant
differences in grain yield regard the year of investigation, while among the
investigated wheat cultivars the differences were not significant.

AB  - Although utilization of commercial products based on diatomaceous earth, an insecticide of the natural
origin, plays a very important role in the integral protection of stored grains, the effect of their application
on the rheological quality of small grains is poorly exploited. Therefore, the aim of this research
was to employ GlutoPeak and Mixolab rheological devices in order to compare the impact of three
diatomaceous earths (DEs) (Protect-It and two inert dusts originated from Serbia) application on the
rheological properties of wheat, triticale and rye flour dough. While moisture and protein content did not
differ in treated and untreated grain samples, application of all three DEs in two triticale varieties led to
an increase in the wet gluten content and Mixolab water absorption, as well as a decrease in the gluten
strength, as indicated by gluten index and GlutoPeak maximum torque values. Treated rye samples have
also exhibited a decrease in dough maximum consistency and stability and greater protein structure
weakening in comparison to untreated sample. The mentioned changes in rheological behaviour were
not noticed in wheat varieties treated with DEs. The major changes were recorded in rheological
behaviour of triticale and rye starch component which showed a decrease in maximum peak torque and
hot paste stability after grain treatment with DEs. In general, the influence of DEs on rheological
properties of small grains was highly species and varietal dependent, where more pronounced differences
between treated and untreated grains were noticed in stronger varieties.
